  i remember how awesome it was to buy skype credit instead of phone cards to call overseas. back before the days of numourous free software that does basically the same thing!

  I used skype recently as a voip option while I was abroad. Are there any decent alternatives to skype if you want to call Australian land lines / mobile numbers through voip?

  Thanks, OP. My points on the account were never used (less than 5000) and was not finding anything of interest to buy.

  Skype Premium helps me to call fixed lines or numbers that are not on VOIP (yes, there are people still living in a cave but with an old-world phone). Topped up the account.
