        Not sure i agree with the article as its based on purely a 'age is everything' view. There is a lot more to it then age statements. Its the reason why some whiskies the same age can be 2 or 3 times the price or even younger whiskies can be more expensive then older whiskies of different brands.

        I dont consider myself a fool if i pay more for a whisky with a lesser age if it tastes nicer and is smoother.

          Yep, the article is stupid. By the author's reasoning a bottle of Chivas should be superior to a bottle of Laphroaig 10 because it is aged longer, and you are a FOOL for paying more for the Laphroaig.

        Umm how does some dude's Quora post constitute credible information? But I do admit I don't know enough about Whisky to be able to call him wrong; but I think there's a bit more to it than how long it's been aged for.

        Johnnie Black is one of my go-tos for a "drinkin' whisky". I have had the Double Black before, and just found I prefer the regular old Black (regardless of price).

        Not a great article. I'd say rather than, "Don’t look at the fancy bottle or the label or the bigger carton box. Look at the age", actually drink them both and judge for yourself.

        I quite like Johnnie Black and think it's a very good whisky at its price point, but I like the Double Black better. It's a good buy for 50 bucks. At full price I'd probably go the regular Johnnie Black though.

      There's a setting under "profile -> edit -> deals" to hide alcohol related deals for that very reason.
