You need an epic reminder. Try lowering all your doorframes by 2 feet.

  • Pasta machine looks good but the timing could have been better when there was no pasta available.

    • I was going to mention it, but googling "pasta machine" shows what looks like the exact same item for $15 at Catch, so it didn't seem like a deal.

    • Cheap pasta machines break so quickly. I doubt you will be able to make $20 worth of pasta before it breaks.

  • Interested in that percolator, looks like it days 4 cup? Tad blurry

    • 6 cup! Go on desktop mode for better quality images on mobile

    • It claims 6, doesn't say the ml though.

Air fryer looks like this model out of China, and found with various brands slapped on it.

Because Paula has her name on one, you'll find videos on YouTube showing how it works

  • pity that air fryer doesn't come with rolling cage for chips like Kogan 12L air fryer

  • $70 for inspection camera is quite tempting

    • You can buy just the camera lens part on ebay, download the app and works great n a smartphone

    • $70 for a diy colonoscopy is dirt cheap!

  • Which one would you choose? I preordered this Kogan one ($129 delivered) https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-12l-1800w-digital-air-fry…

Or shall I get this Aldi one? Thanks for any ozbargainer suggestions

The Aldi is bigger (23 l) (and better with a 3 year warranty)/ although Kogan one might be easier to get hold of.
The picture of a "chook" on the Kogan, is really about the size of a quail.
Naw, really on a 12 l oven you may have to cut off the legs on the chicken due to size/weight limitations for the Kogan model.

      • Thanks I’ll pop in aldi today and see if I find it

        • Popped in this avo, all gone 😭

@fozzie: Commiserations, they went in the morning, but all is not lost (and this is still much better than KOGAN) with the consolation prize [drum roll please…] AIR FRYER from the bad boys at COLES and it is BIGGER, CHEAPER, (but possibly has not rostisserie) on Friday…

Get in early or order online or pay a friend?

            • @marcozmitch: Thanks! Definitely worth a try.

@fozzie: It turns out the latest digital Airfryer from ALDI only has a 12 month warranty compared to the previous 3 year warranty on the more basic Airfryer 23l.
Possibly due to either the weakness of the rotisserie or digital components?
Also my digital Airfryer (which is a limited experience) has a definite crooked oven door installation on it.
I am not so familiar with posting to the viewing site, but would happily. I am yet to resolve this yet, but I am sure ALDI will assist me.
The brand developer is called Uncle Bills.

                • @marcozmitch: Thanks,
I couldn’t get hold of either Aldi or Coles one. Therefore I’m getting the Kogan one. It’s smaller but at least it’s much bigger than what I have now

  • OP, how did you get hold of this catalogue so early? Normally, I would have had to wait until Wednesday, 17 June 2020 before I would be able to get hold of the physical copy at my local ALDI store.

    • Printing occupation?

      Catalogue distribution ?

It arrives at my letterbox. I'm not questioning it.

Just a heads up if it has not changed (does not look like it from the photo) the multi-function sharpener ($24.99) is truly awful as the guides move/flex causing issues and the stone is quite cheap can chip.
I would highly recommend buying something else or in the case of knives saving some money and learning how to do it with a sharpening stone.

    • Thanks for the heads up. Anyone purchased the drill bits before? Are they worth it or shoddy?

      • Didn't buy them myself but can confirm from recent experience that they are "buyer beware" - like most cheap drill and driver bits. Really depends on your needs as to whether they're worth having. Drilling in soft material would be fine.

Time to play find the Bunnings price match again…

    Ozito 35L Wet Dry Vac

    • The Aldi one is slightly different to the last model.

This one is 1200w for the vac & 1200 for power, the last one was only 1000w for the vac but 1400w for power.

      Better? Worse? Same?

    Thanks OP

  • The airfryer seems to be a copy of the Brevile "Smart Oven Air" also there are built in wall ovens coming out with air fryer functionality

    https://www.breville.com/au/en/products/ovens/bov860.html

  • I see tablesaw blades, but no tablesaw :(

    • but the 210mm blades now, wait for the table saw :)

  • Does anyone know how many air fryers will there be usually per store? Will I most likely miss out if I don't queue up in the morning?

  • Anyone know if the air fryer is a feasible substitute for a regular built-in oven?

    • 3 year warranty versus forever?
      Gas has no blackouts?
The Gas oven can fit anything the size of a huge turkey? (Mr Bean help me out!)
Actually they are not bad…but older ppl. may prefer the trusted simple operations/familiarity of a built-in.
More shelves, not as quick…bigger smell (unless you burn the food.)

      • Also the good old 1950's nostalgia. LOL

  • Anyone managed to get the air fryer? All gone when I turned up but just curious if it is any good?

    • Nope, the internet is rife with consumer complaints about the air fryer. Some stores only received one unit and hence sold out immediately!

  • Mad props to Joe888 for getting this to 150 votes and the Popular Deal badge after 8 days at 149 votes. That was so frustrating haha.

  • I wish we could buy booze from Aldi here in QLD :(
