  • Nice one. Heard about this in Niseko this year so for $80 I had to give it a crack. Not quite sure how I will remove the base wax from my board but sure I will door it out!

Interesting - please explain the 'door' technique for removing wax… I assume slamming is involved? :)

Issue for me that goes for a few weeks a year, is that phantom is very sticky when you're trying to take off, or going at a slow speed. I already hate cat tracks..

    • I haven't heard too much on this, but I agree that would suck. I'm almost tempted to have a rub-on wax with me for that very reason.

  • Read about this a couple of years ago, level nine offer to apply this as an extra option on some of their skis. Wondering how hard this is to apply.

    • It's a treatment that binds into the base material, provided in two packs like an epoxy. It is UV activated/cured, so you need to ensure that you have somewhere that can get good light without risking foreign contaminants getting onto the base while you are waiting on it. https://www.dpsskis.com/phantom-glide

Thanks nezumi. Interested in this product, but their FAQ does not endorse it for nordic skis, which would be my application, so going to skip it for now.
