  • hell yes! perfect time for summer!

  • has anyone else received this offer? is the code unqiue?

  • You can change "Yee Wah" in the link to reflect your own name.
I'm not too sure whether this is a unique barcode though.

    • -6

      it is unique…

  • -3

Codes are unique, can only be used once

got one yesterday via email and it had a different code

    • But have you confirmed the same code didn't work twice?

      • Guess you could try it at the self checkout :P

        • Thought you just had to scan the promo barcode and then the product barcode.

        • +4

If they charge you full price, just tell them to put it aside cos you don't want it anymore. And hopefully someone will take it back to the freezer before it melts.

        • There seems to be two barcodes. The top one seems unique but the bottom one doesn't.
Not sure which one needs to be scanned. If it's only the bottom one that needs to be scanned, then going through self checkout would confirm/disprove the "bargain" in question with-out the risk of embarassment of rejection.

      • +2

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe Coles scanning coupon system checks whether the coupon has been used before. Coles does those survey things where you get $5 off your checkout but everyone can share the same one even though it's supposed to be unique.

        • maybe someone can try one and post back…

the two coupons i've see have different codes and the conditions say "one per person"

        • All scanned barcodes go to a database. That usually goes to data collectors such as Nielson.
What I meant by All was, all product barcodes. Not sure about promotion barcodes.

        • -3

All scanned barcodes go to a database.

So they'll have the name & address of who's been distributing their barcode then…

        • +2

Scary stuff jv, OP should lawyer up before the police start knocking on his door for sharing coupon codes.

        • Coles won't give a stuff how many people use this code…

  • how do you get the code anyway??

Magnums on special at woolies this week $3.89 which is pretty good too

    • "You have been sent this email because you previously completed the Nestle Lifestyle Survey or entered a DRUMSTICK promotion and gave us permission to contact you directly."

  • +2

Regardless of whether the code is unique or not, you may wish to update the link to https://www.nestle.au.simplicitycrm.com/dynamicpages/Drumsti…

That will remove your personal info.

    • +2

Try editing the CODE in the URL… the barcode will say INVALID, therefore they have a simple validation algorithm… ie.. the codes ARE unique….

If anyone can crack the code, I'll share the ice cream with them…

    • The last five characters appear to be unique…

      GXRUN

there must be some kind of checksum ????

(getting closer to solving the puzzle)

  • +3

The survey seems to be still open so get in there and get one of those barcodes.
    Easier than cracking the code!

Just wasted 10 mins to get a Drumstick pack for $3, @ the office :)

      • +2

Lol I love the "@ the office" part~

      • Did you get the voucher emailed to you after doing the survey?

        • +4

I'd also like to know this - completed the survey and nothing. Hopefully it gets emailed eventually or else I've wasted 10 minutes of my time that could've been spent eating icecream that I already have :(

        • nope.

        • I didn't get one either :(

        • I didnt get one either :( blitzed through the survey clicking random answers or 'no' all for nothing :(

    • I just did it as well, got a completion email - no voucher atm.

  • WHEN YOU DO THE SURVEY don't give out ur real address and phone number.

    • +1

      Bit late… :( Why?

    • I just did 2. how can you expect them to post something if you give a fake address.

  • +25

Okay i didnt do the survey just printed the link, and confirm it has worked 3 times for myself, approx 15 mins ago. Ie i am eating one now and its not bad, i only got the berry one.

No problem at checkout except code wouldnt scan they entered it in manually, and i went through self serve checkout.

Now get out there peoples and Ozbargain the hell out of it.

    • Saviour !!

    • +1

just did the same. but i did it 5 times. stocked up…

    • I got my choc macadamias.. mmm

  • I wonder if there is a reason why some have got the coupon and others haven't (I haven't) Maybe it's based on the state you are in or some other survey variable?

  • +1

THANKS OP!!! Just redeemed mine. I also had trouble with the scanning of it but the person at coles just typed the barcode in and it worked. :) Although they were already reduced to $5 without the discount.

  • I just used this voucher at Coles at Noarlunga without any troubles.

  • Can confirm that the coupon works.

  • +1

Guys do you need to have, say, 5 coupons printed and surrender one for each box? Can you use all 5 at a same checkout?

    • Guys do you need to have, say, 5 coupons printed and surrender one for each box? Can you use all 5 at a same checkout?

From the T&C: Limit of one coupon per person.

  • man i want some more maxibons, mustve bought like 8 boxes in 2 months. those things be pure gold.

  • Do you have 2 ask them 2 put in the code?

    • +4

You have 2 ask them 2wice.

      • That seems 2 hard

  • will this scan on iphone

    • they need to keep the voucher so I guess no.

    • +3

Hahaha, I'll swap a paper voucher for your iPhone. ;)

  • Ok, the voucher worked for me, but there was a twist. The code scanned as valid at an express checkout. But because Coles had discounted all flavours of drumsticks to $5, they had to override the till to charge me the normal price of $8 before the voucher could discount it to $3. So try it at a staffed checkout if it doesn't work at a self-scan checkout.

Oh and they retained the voucher so don't give them your iPhone. LOL

  • Worked for me as well, but like others, they had to manually key in the barcode number.

Thanks to the OP, great deal.

  • Worked for me at 2 coles. The first one I tried, there were 2 people with the same voucher trying to get it. The checkout girls didn't know what to do as the scan didn't work. I asked them to manually input the code and it worked. When I got home and looked at the receipt, I hadn't been charged for it!! The second coles I went to tried to scan it again but didn't work. When she scanned the bottom bar code it worked. The Honey Macadamia is damn good. Haven't tried the other one yet.

  • awesome icecream frenzy tomorrow.

  • Good deal!! Will be trying it out sometime this week. Thanks OP!
