Made in India. I'll buy one.

Bragging rights to guests…”yes, hand-made this one”

    • ….also 'wool/woolen' 😆

      • +1

Next time you pass a rug store and you see a sign that reads “Hand-made in India - was $8999 now $5000” then remember this deal.

        • +9

…what? a rug sale…?? who has ever heard of such a thing!? 😂

          • +2

@franco cozzo: It must be that time in the month when they have a "Shutting Down Forever" sale.

  • I dunno, a starting price of $80 isn't that high to begin with. Are these those rugs which are nothing more than a thin layer of fabric essentially.

    • +1

weight: 9kg….so i was thinking they must be a reasonably thick weave?

      • +1

Just have to see in person I guess. I've got a couple of rugs I rotate through and whilst I've never bothered to weigh them, the ones that have a softer/thicker base to step on a far more comfortable than the thinner one. And even the thinner one on Bunnings clearance was "only" down to $99.

  • Is there any way to check to stock level online ?

    • on the right hand side under the price is:

      Find in-store (link)
      >your location
      View more stores (link)

the links will allow you to view your local store and then surrounding suburbs…most of the stores around me are showing stock available

      • +1

        Thanks mate

  • +2

if anyone sees them in person let us all know what you think…im thinking of heading down mid morning to see if its worth grabbing a pair for myself

  • +2

    Any link to the product?

    • ….what do you think the thumbnail does in the top right hand corner of this page?

      • +1

I clicked it, redirects back to bunnings home page. Try it.

        • nah …works fine here…might be your browser/device? anyway here:
          https://www.bunnings.com.au/230-x-160cm-assorted-rugs_p00385…

          • +1

@franco cozzo: Still doesn't work… both on mobile and pc. Idk why though, thanks anyway.

            • @j0hnd0e: …bizarre? anyone else here having this issue?

              • +2

@franco cozzo: Change your state on bunnings website.

Bunnings disallows some products based on location.

                • +2

@[Deactivated]: Thanks, managed to get in when I change my store to one location in NSW. I see there's stock in robina (QLD), so not sure why it's not showing here.

                • @[Deactivated]: …hmm. so far VIC, NSW & QLD appear to have stock according to responses here…not sure why the bunnnings website is showing varying stock availability?

              • +1

@franco cozzo: I tried changing my stores to several in my area but still doesn't work. Are you in QLD?

                • @j0hnd0e: …no, VIC. perhaps VIC stores only at this point in time?

                  • @franco cozzo: I see it in stock in Robina QLD when I set my store to the one near the NSW border, but when I set my store to Robina QLD, I can't access the product link. Bizarre….

    Are these better than Fukari?

    • +2

      Or is it fukurri

    • +5

Ah the good old days when people weren't so sensitive

      • +7

I am finding your tone offensive.

        • +3

I was offended when the OP listed the fact that the product was made in India.

          • +2

@thisisscotts: Yeah. It's 2020. Why can't we all be like just labelling everything…. 'Made On Earth'. I didn't do 3 tours in Nam for this commie s&$t.

            • +2

@seamonkey: Mate, that's not including the rest of the solar system. Made in the Universe is probably best.

              • +2

@thisisscotts: but thats then excluding other possible realities & existences…how about just…. 'Made'?

                • +2

@franco cozzo: Sorry you are right, I didn't realise I was using my Universe-privilege.

However, I've subjectively noticed your privilege in what you've said. You are excluding things that are not made, that do not exist and are not real. We should just say "".

                  • +2

@thisisscotts: Why ""? Why should little lines be overrepresented. The most important quotes in history… all get delivered by my lined brothers. Random Lines Matter.

for those in VIC…plenty of stock available

    Notting Hill In stock
    Oakleigh In stock
    Keysborough In stock
    Moorabbin In stock
    Vermont South In stock
    Bayswater In stock
Springvale Low Stock (call first to check availability)

    …etc

    • None at Moorabbin. They have a line with an identical description but it is still $79

      • +1

        sorry for any inconvenience mate
so….if i hear what you are saying is bunnings is useless, their website is useless & this whole deal is useless given their stock inventory management?
wondering if should just retire it?

        • No prob’s, was worth a try. Just saving others from the same fate

  • +3

Ive got three of it. I dont mind it and used for internal entrance rug. The wooven texture helps to trap exterior dirt. Its comfortable to step on bare feet too

    • …thanks for the info. did you buy them at RRP or at $19? was it worth the price?

      • +1

$19 per rug. Yes to me. Carpet court front entrance rug made of carpet material 90 x 60 is $15. I like the woven feel better.

  • +5

For anyone wondering this is what they look like, just bought one.

  • None in Melville, despite showing in stock, and multiple staff trying to find them.

  • +1

Went to nunawading and vermont south this morning, both brodened out. Did buy a broadway brand teal rug at $49 though, big size and awesome colour.

    • +1

I went looking for the deal as well and bought two of these teal rugs too! Look really good.

  • None in WA

    • thanks…edited post a couple hours back reflecting mainly VIC stores stocking at this point in time

      • Went to the only store that "had stock" (Balcatta) - the staff had no idea what I was talking about. Met another random OzBargainer who had come from another store but alas

  • +1

Keysborough couldn't find them either. Their system said three in stock.

    • +3

sorry mate…bunnings inventory management is really sh!t. ive had that heaps of time where youre in store they they 'have stock' but cant find any….
sorry to everyone for the deal not being reliable & for any inconvenience caused

      • +1

Not a problem - just posting here to save others a trip! :)

  • +1

None in Geelong or waurn Ponds….typical

  • +1

Thanks for posting this. Ended up buying two teal rugs for $49 each instead… really bright colour so well worth the trip. Thanks

  • Is there a brand name on these rugs? Couldn’t locate them at my local bunnings

  • there is no stock pretty much anywhere

    • what state & where have you searched?
thinking might have to pull the deal…

  • +1

You're posting about home furnishings and couldn't work in a "Megalo, megalo, megalo" in the description?

    • +1

      my apologies….GRANDSALE! GRANDSALE! GRANDSALE!
WHERE!?? INNA BRUNZAWICK NORTA MELBURN & FOOTISGRAY!

  • +1

None at Lilydale, only two golden-ish left at Bayswater as of half an hour ago. Not my style so I left them. Should have called, ah well.

  • +1

None in Thomastown, VIC or Fairfield, VIC

    • …thanks. i'll mark the deal expired as it seems more miss than hit….

  • Don't seem to have come down in Queensland

  • +1

Hoppers crossing was showing stock. I spoke to staff and they said it was showing 7 in the system but couldn't find a single one in the aisle despite looking twice. Sometimes I feel the staff themselves hide it hoping to take it home later?

Anyways, their inventory management software is really shiiiiiiit!

  • +1

Managed to Pick up 2 Rugs at Bunnings O'Connor in WA.

There were still a few left as of 12pm today.

They had a pile of rugs "From $19"

Since they did not state prices of rugs higher than $19 on the same pile. You can claim them for $19 if no price is stated

as they tried to charge me $29 for a rug from the pile with no other price stated other than "From $19"

    https://imgur.com/a/ThC03CF

Apologies for the mess in the playroom but here are the rugs,

Perhaps Someone threw these on the wrong pile but this is $38 well spent.

    Thanks OP
