Samsung Qi Wireless Charger - EP-PG950 - $19 with Free Shipping @ Green Gadgets

860

Just bought three.

Genuine Samsung Qi charger that also lets your phone sit upright (useful as an alarm clock or desk clock when you have ambient display on).

Free express shipping, maximum 3 units per order.

I'm used to using those cheap $10 Choetech Qi chargers but you have to have your phone sitting on them in a particular way for it to charge. These should be quite a bit better for only $9 more.

Enjoy!

Was tempted then read @millzy's review on a previous deal about these chargers.

    • +7

If all you do is charge at night, these are better due to less heat during charging. If all you want is fast charging, pay significantly more sure.

  • thanks bought one

  • +2

Just had a look at some reviews and removed it from the cart. thanks anyway.

its only if you require fast charging, otherwise a high quality charger.

  • +1

    Yeah 9w max output, nah.

  • are they fast chargers or dumb ones :)

  • +2

Pretty crap charger, I've got one that I've relegated to the side of my PC. It's just too slow, I bought a cheap Blitzwolf one that charges a lot better.

    • Can I ask which Blitzwolf charger if you don't mind?

  • +1

I use an iPhone which doesn't support fast wireless charging like Androids so this is a great deal for me.

    • -1

This does not come with a charger and does not accept the lightning charger.

      • -1

This post is literally for a wireless charger

        • -1

It needs a USB C Input from a charger similar to the one which comes with the phone and is not included. The wireless charger is there but the cabled charger which connects this to the power point is not included. Check out this video at 2:13 https://youtu.be/rOIhj8_Xz5g. The apple lightning charge is not compatible as an input and there is no such adaptor provided.

          • @bunnikins: The charger is powered by a USB C Cable how does that stop it from charging an iPhone? The only thing someone needs to use this with an iPhone is a USB type C cable…

            • @Sammy Boi: Yeah you need to buy this extra cable which is not included, something to be vary of as an iPhone user. Android users do not have the same limitation. If you can buy this, it can be a good charger since its from a Samsung.

          • @bunnikins: Maybe you should look at some of the comments from the iPhone users LOL

I don't mind so much the slow charging but if they are as finicky with positioning as my flat chargers that could be annoying. We'll see when I get them, I think it'll be worth the compromise anyway for $19.

    • +1

We have these chargers with our S10 and S20 phones with Spigen cases fitted.

With the cradle laying flat it can be a PITA getting the phone to lay in the correct position to charge. With the cradle up it's very easy - simply align the fingerprint on the phones display with the charging light on the cradle.

      • Ah right. I didn't even realise you could use it without the stand. I bought these specifically to use upright

  • +1

Was tempted, then I read the reviews. Would love to have a single wireless charger for my Watch, Buds and Phone though.

  • blitzwolf or Mi are best ones.

    • ANy specific models?

      • Have same question but for an iPhone XS. Which out of those two

  • +2

We have these for our Samsung phones. As others have pointed out they're slow to charge your phone.

I don't mind how long they take as they only go on the cradle when going to bed at night. Plus they look good and it sure beats having to plug a cable in each time.

Either way it's probably worth buying for the cable/plug alone

    • +1

I don't think these come with the cables and chargers; it's the wireless mat only.

      • Yes, looks like charging pad only, which makes me wonder about them.

The Australian spec ones that I purchased did come with the cable and charger.

Edit: Based on the links above and below, it seems there must have been more than one option for Australian spec and the current models do not include the charger or cable.

      From the Samsung Product Page:

Requires USB charging/power cable, sold separately

    • Plus they look good and it sure beats having to plug a cable in each time

I got one for free with my Samsung Note 8 years ago and used it.. once or twice … take the phone off the stand and need to reach over and muck about putting it back on.

      Looks like this one

      https://www.samsung.com/au/mobile-accessories/wireless-charg…

Need to use the phone while you want to charge it (like I do most times) need sot come off the charger

Need to charge while you wan to use the phone, no you can't.

I have a Note 9 and thought I might at least put it on my SOHO desk and use it but nope, never did, just plugged it in.

      Mine has Qi fast charging.

Can't use it with a magnet on the back

I unlock with my FP so even standing more upright on my desk makes it useless, as I need to pick it up to use it anyway to unlock it. If its plugged in I can pick it up and use it and put it down and it's still being charged the entire time.

I keep it in case my charge port goes dead.

Just a few notes to those considering getting one. I find them useless others disagree, check your workflow to see if it fits.

  • I had this and sold it, compared to my anker charger it was literally massive.

  • Am using:

    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07DBXZZN3

Not a massive price diff; but fast charging and does not require precise positioning.

  • anyone know where to get a 15w wireless charer for a s20 ultra? the cheapest one ive seen is the OEM one on amazon for 85

  • +1

Thanks! Just purchased 2, one for the wife as well. I'm only planning on using them when we sleep to charge the phones so I'm not too fussed about the fast charging function. Can't really go wrong at that price.

  • Most of them would be okay with this Samsung charger.
Both the iPhone 11 Pro and the 11 Pro Max support wireless charging at speeds of up to 7.5 watts. Why do we need 20w wireless charger? 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • +1

There are fakes around, are these definitely genuine?

    • +1

      Warranty
This product is covered by a 12 Month Manufacturer Warranty, excluding water or liquid damage.

  • Thanks. Grabbed a couple. Hope they work.

  • I've used one for a few years with iPhones, no prob's.

  • +1

I used to have one of these (or very similar model). The speed didn't bother me as I used it at night. What I couldn't handle was what sounded like a small fan periodically starting up when it warmed up.

If you are okay with the sound of a mosquito buzzing around your ear when trying to sleep, then this is the charger for you :)

So I got a Baseus one which seems to work really well.

    • Its weird as mine didn't make the buzzing sound but my wife's did. Both using S9's and similar cases so it made no sense.

I like the way it stands but other than that they are not that great due to the slowness in charging.

  • Thanks, just ordered one

  • Thanks OP. Just grab one😁

  • Picked one up too thank you

  • Bought two - perfect for secret santa! Thanks OP

    Dawn…
Got 2 recently from catch for$45 each..
    Oh well

Regarding the slow charging, they're fine for overnight charging on the bedside table

  • +1

My 11 pro battery health is still 100% got it on release, using this charger 95% off the time.

  • Looks like it's been OzBargained!

I just bought this one which could charge two devices with 20-watt peak power, and even though it claims 10 watt on each side, as a review tested, it actually could reach 12 watt (output) if only charges one device. Also it's much compact and comes with cable.

    • +3

yeah and take 3 months to come lol

  • Thanks heaps OP for sharing, got one before OOS.

  • +1

9W? Got one from Aldi last week - 15W for $19. Some stores might still have stock. Qi certified and fast charges fine.

  • +1

For what it's worth, iPhones can only Fast Charge at a max of 9W so this is great for them. I have one for my iPhone 8 and I'm pretty happy with how fast it charges (granted it is a smaller battery).

  • Received mine today (Airport West, VIC) and works 100% out of the box. Genuine Samsung product, Great deal.

    • I'm in Maribyrnong, hopefully I get mine today too!

  • Green Gadgets nail a prompt delivery to regional NSW yet again! Genuine product/bargain as described. Perfect for my needs. Robust! Thanks guys! Again!

  • Got the charger today. Looks legit and works well. Loved it. Thanks OP

  • Arrived today in Adelaide. Thanks OP

  • Got mine on Saturday in the end. Happy with them for the price. They didn't come with wall plugs but did include a USB C to Micro USB adaptor so I could use some old micro USB cables on them.
