    I remember buying a Dell full-HD monitor for $149 on 29 Jun in 2011.
Sure, this is curved, but still.

  • Can anyone comment on whether this or the LS24R350FHEXXY (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/544892) would be better for home office, using PowerPoint, reports and large financial models (ie excel spreadsheets) for a dual monitor set up?

    • I personally think if non gaming, video editing, photoshoping purposes, then i think any monitor with Vesa will do. Even the one OP has posted. May be ultra wide monitor to save the hassle in setting up dual monitor with mount?

      • Trying to minimise cost. Was concerned how a curved screen would be for building financial models, but it is cheaper at about $145 vs the IPS flat screen which is $169. Other consideration is one (if any) that is easier on the eyes (short sighted, wear glasses/contacts). Any thoughts?

        Appreciate the reply

      • I recently got the 27" R350 for WFH after one of my old HP monitors died.

I'm finding it fine for my non gaming uses but a curve might have been nice as it can get a bit weird at the far edge.

    • I've got a strong preference for 16:10 monitors for excel, CAD etc.
The extra 11% vertical area makes a massive difference in how many rows of excel you see at once, due to the room taken by menus, taskbars etc.

      • Yeah, I keep an old 16:10 monitor as one of my monitors at both work and home. Any cheap 16:10 options though? (I assume they are no longer being made in volume, so options may be scared)

I picked up 2 of these Dell U2412M for $149 delivered, thanks to ozbargain.
          Zero sign of being re-furb.
Just needed to add HDMI-to-DP adaptors from ebay, since they don't have native HDMI….which I didn't realise when I ordered, but when they arrived I found it is the same model monitor I was already using as single screen, from 2012, still going strong.

Anyway, I'm rambling, you may be able to pick up a U2412M somewhere cheap, Dell still offers them new but not cheap.

Or search ebay for more options
