  • Good find OP. Personally I'm taking the gamble that Sydney Tools will offer a EOFY store credit night, until the 30th of June they have 5 years warranty on Makita. They have already had the Makita trade night a few weeks ago but they normally have a store credit night at EOFY.

  • This same promo ran last weekend as well - it was supposed to stop last Sunday and be 3 days only - obviously extended.
It's a good deal. I went in to buy a new sliding mitre saw…. discovered the promo, added an extra saw blade to bring my purchase up to a few dollars over $499 and then got to buy the little $109 router for $9. All items I needed and wanted. Got to use them this week - quality bits of gear - happy as!!!

Bunnings had all their Makita stuff discounted last weekend because of this, but the prices didn't work out as well as this deal. Plus Bunnings like to sell "Exclusive model tools" that they can't be price matched on. In this case the Makita sliding mitre saw Bunnings sell is exclusive, it's the old crappier model that no one else sells anymore!

    • Hey steve,
Can I ask what model of sliding saw you bought?

      • +1. I looked at some Makita mitre saws… most had some iffy reviews (rust especially), so ended up with a Bosch Blue.
Beautiful little dual bevel machine, I love it.

      • +1

The 8.5inch version LS0815FL with a cut height of 65mm and width of 305mm. I was originally looking at the 10inch LS1018L (Bunnings sell the old version of it the LS1017L) with a cut height of 91mm and width of 310mm.
The 8.5 inch won out for me as it's smaller size makes it easier to carry in and out of a site and I don't need above 65mm height. The downside was also no dual-bevel which the LS1018L has.

I also looked at the Bosch, it looked really good but more $$.

After using the new Makita this week… I really like it vs what it cost vs trying to justify spending more on something even better.

    • I did the same, but was buying a $509 sliding compound saw and the guys said I could go grab another $100 worth of Makita gear. It was a pretty welcome surprise.

  • Thanks OP!
Have been waiting for this and stalking their site. Will head in tomorrow.

  • I just bought a makita drill set (spend $700) today. The sales person didnt mentioned anything about Mak Cash bonus. Do I get the bonus code in an email ?

  • I had to do it all in the one transaction. Hopefully it's not just my local store doing the deal.

    • what store was it ?

    • I was at the lansvale store today buying my makita drill set, also claim a bonus grinder. the bonus cash would be perfect for the tiny 18V blower.

  • Can someone confirm my understanding?

So if I order in store, I can use the bonus $ on the purchase itself but if I order online, I'd have to wait for a voucher?

  • I added Makita Hedge Trimmer $529 (DUH752RT) to checkout, didnt see any $100 voucher? Help?

  • anyone know if this is still running? and in QLD?

  • will the makcash work on preorders?
