Osprey Stratos 34L Day Pack $187.46 Delivered (25% off) at Paddy Pallin

90

I've been on the lookout for a day-to-day backpack that I can use for getting around and cycling etc.

I ended up settling on the Osprey Stratos. It's not everything I want and it's probably a bit more hiking oriented than everyday use, but I like it, the raincover is great, and Osprey seems to have excellent customer service around repairs and maintenance.

Even better, while I've waited it has come down in price to 25% off - other stores have it for about $220.

Price seems good compared to most stores, but this may be of interest to someone?

Black M/L seems to be $161 here:

(edit: shipping seems crazy high to Tas though, so much for the "free shipping" banner up the top, lol)

  • A day-to-day backpack for everyday use and cycling to work? Couldn't have gone wrong with a Crumpler bag mate. Most of their bags are made for just those purposes — and they include rain resistance as well as reliable support.

Out of curiosity, what were the things you wanted that the Stratos doesn't offer?

    • not too late! I'll check these out, thanks.

The things I wanted were pretty trivial - my current backpack has a small pocket on the front bottom so I can reach around behind and grab my wallet. I'm sure I'll work something out with this one.

Get a Talon 22 or 33 if you're really squeezing for space. The 22 is superior IMO with a zippered entrance vs cinched on the 33L.

I use it for daily/hiking/biking/shopping hasn't let me down yet.
