        That's good, but being a non Apple charger, one of my concerns is it damaging my actual laptop which wouldn't be covered by you.

        I'm actually in the market looking for an extra 45W charger but I still wouldn't want to risk damaging my laptop to save a few dollars.

        Are there any reviews or further information about these non Apple chargers?

          My recommendation is to buy official Apple chargers.

          I bought a generic one off eBay a few years back. Lasted like 3 months or something and died. Messaged the seller on eBay. Not a word.

          Since then, I bought an Apple one from HN (cos I had HN vouchers at the time). It's still going strong to this day.

          Save yourself $30 and the time/hassle.

    I bought a "replacement" adapter for my macbook. Can vouch its interior quality. When I touched my son I could feel the vibration as i doubt there is proper grounding.

        lol i meant inferior quality when I took the mouse and felt the current on his hands. thats when I realised something is not right with adapter.

          I feel that vibration with original Magsafe adapters (multiple, yes) too.

          Doesn't it need a third prong on the plug for grounding? The on-brick plugs/adaptors, as opposed to cables, have only two prongs. I'm not an expert.

    I remember buying a 'GENUINE' Asus PSU on ebay @ 8 years ago. My 11yo daughter was using the NB. I enjoyed into the room and i coulda smell something burning. I picked up the adapter (stupid mistake), and the plastic casing was starting to melt. I informed the AU seller who kindly refunded the unit, but wouldn't refund the postage. In the end they did after threatening negative reviews etc.

    better to buy usb-c pd charger, even genuine apple if you want and the usc-c to magsafe cable …..at least you can charge other stuff with the usb-c and new generation macbooks …….

      These are magsafe chargers, usb-c is for different models.

        you can get special cable , usb c on one end and mag safe on the other …. got mine off ebay was $16, allowed me to buy an apple usb c power supply so now i charge my new macbook air with usb c and my old macbook pro with the adapter cable. ….
