Pretty sure the 8gb was $169 a couple of weeks ago. It's been as low as $149.

  • Do people recommennd the extra spend for the 32gb over the 8gb?

      Manga ? 32GB : 8GB

Assuming 10MB, 20MB or 50MB per book, and usable space of 6GB, the 8GB should hold either 600, 300 or 120 books which seems like a decent amount.

As for the device itself, I can't see myself paying more than $120 for it.

Thanks - it's a shame they don't just have an external micro SD slot.

Nope. I've got the 32 and wish I had the 8.

      • For the price difference, or does the 32 perform worse than the 8?

    • I have the 8gb and it's fine. The screen is too small for reading graphic novels or comics. I just read novels on it.

The AZW3 and Mobi files I use tend to be less than 1mb each. I wouldn't store thousands of files on the device itself.

It's not a good interface for scrolling through files. I have a Calibre library on my PC for that

      • I use the caliber-web it’s even prettier

        • It doesn't seem like it adds anything over the standard Calibre Web Server though.

  • It’s coming up as 199 for me now.
