@jayboi: what? i don't get what you are saying. the model you linked is not a model that comes with 4 thunderbolts, it comes with 2 thunderbolts and one fan is the base config if i remember correctly. The description in the post is wrong.

keep in mind this is the 2019 model with the old wonky keyboard that has a lot of reliability issues.
Also old touchbar so no touch id and physical esc key.I like this because 4 thunderbolt 3 was $3000 and has a better gpu etc
You'll need a thunderbolt keyboard when the built in one fails :)

but the 4 thunderbolt has much more power and ports and this is brand new, same screen as 2020, just keyboard, and this has full apple warranty since it is brand new

Beware people, this is the 2019 base model (2 ports, 1 internal fan, old keyboard). 1.4 GHz processor, as well as the model number on the listing both say base model.
The Costco listing is extremely misleading, with the contradiction of 1.4 GHz processor + 4 ports, "Latest Apple Design Keyboard", and no mention of RAM amount anywhere.Ill take this down, shame on Costco

nah, IMO the best you can do tho is to get a refund. there is a consumer guarantee that goods should correspond with description, this doesn't, it is a major failure because of that. so you can decide between refund, replacement or sue difference in value. but they don't have 1.4ghz with 4thunderbolts anyway, so likely refund
Been using this for work for a year. Keyboard is so shit, keys are constantly getting stuck and missing presses. If it wasn't a laptop given by work I would get rid of it. I would not recommend it. OS is pretty great but that keyboard really ruins alot.
Tell your work to give you a 2020 model instead, haven't ordered this one but I recently got the 2020 base with 16gb ram as a upgrade and the keyboard is the best in class, highly recommend
Sorry for the neg but I just really don't want people buying this POS. Unfortunately work only upgrades our laptop every couple of years and especially right now in this covid time it's almost impossible to approve any expenses. Otherwise this deal is a pretty good price. Good first post (don't take negs personally)
I agree with you. I'm friends with the people in help desk at my company, and know how absurdly bad these keyboards are prone to failure. Compressed air can sometimes help, but issues are plentiful.
"Best in class" is easy to achieve if you completely stuff up the previous one…
Same here. Keyboard for this 2019 module is really bad. keys are easy to break as well.

Mate, there is no 4 thunderbolt 3 on this model, Costco misadvertised it
JB has a sale atm $1799 for the 2020 model. No membership required ;-) You can get OW to price beat it to save 5% more.
