Logitech Harmony 300i Universal Remote - ALDI (St Kilda, VIC) - $9.99!

520

Hi Oz Bargainers! My first real deal! Just browsing my local St Kilda, VIC ALDI and came across this bargain!
It's advertised in a recent catalog at $14.99, which in itself isn't bad considering Google Shopper has it around $19 and Static Ice around $34 but to get this under a tenner, nice! Previous OzBargains have it at $19.99 also - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/52837

The St Kilda store had approx 15+ and I can only presume other stores would have stock too.

Sorry, but I'm unable to find a direct link on the ALDI website for the device and due to some full on restrictions at work my photo won't upload. Hopefully this link is public? http://springpad-user-data.s3.amazonaws.com/2c/2c44f24d-6b2a…

  • Bought one of these from aldi a while back and for $20 they are a great remote, $10 is even better:)

I also bought one for about $15 a while back. Replaced FOUR other remotes. Easy to program, works great. Also very robust, I keep dropping it on a tiled floor and it survives each time. Best thing since sliced bread, a LOT of tecnology for $10!!

They had a bunch of these at Miranda Aldi (NSW) last Wednesday for $9.95. I didn't post it, because I don't think these remotes are that great - I think you need the little screen for when things go wrong (e.g. it misses turning the TV on, or gets the wrong AV input or something). I think you're better off getting the Harmony 600 from LTS for $25.

Still, a good deal if you want this particular remote.

  • Awesome, going to have a look later on at Aldi

  • cheapest price is 14.99,

can we buy online? I'm in the far west :(

    • As mducpham posted above, these are in next week's Aldi leaflet at $14.99. So they won't be on clearance from the last one) for much longer

      • Manly Wharf Aldi $14.99 and listed for next week too.
        APO 20.95.

whats the word on next weeks Aldi/Vivid BDPlayer with USB connection. Does this play MKVs?

  • good remote to have as a spare. might go grab one.

I've got the Logitech Harmony 515 remote, and it sucks. There's a big delay in the response time with some devices, and some button presses equate to 2 button presses which means if you're scrolling through a menu it will skip every 2nd line.
Same problems, for both the codes entered, and the learning function.

    Fancy paper weight. :(

  • they are selling 300s next week for $14.99 http://aldi.com.au/au/html/offers/2827_19395.htm

  • 3 left at the St. Kilda Aldi when I was there close to closing time this evening. None at Chadstone Aldi for those who are interested :)

  • Asked the Aldi at South Melbourne if they had any and they said they'd have heaps next week, so maybe they're all in the same boat

  • Got one from slacks creek in brisbane. Store manager got it out of the glass window, said its the last one there. Got it for 9.99

  • Got the last one at the St. Kilda Aldi (12.30PM). Some Aldi store till buy at $19.99 for example: ALDI Bundoora, ALDI Greensborough.

  • Had to use the main computer to get it going…doesn't work quite right. Perfect if you have only one device though… which kind of isn't the point of a universal remote, unless you've lost the original…you can see where I'm going with this can't you..

Aldi @ Dandenong, VIC had stacks of them but they were only marked down from $19.99 to $14.99, though I didn't ask staff to scan them. I'm rather happy with mine and customising it is quite easy with the MyHarmony website. 4.5 of 5 for an early review.
