It's a closing down sale. the 50% discount applies to almost every product (except cigarette, rice, milk, bread, and stick coffee).
It's started 2days ago and supposed to be finished on the same day, However, They said today is the real last day until 8PM. Their main entrance has been shut down, so you have to get in there through back door.
It's real deal, I've seen someone who spent over $1000 after 50% off.
It was almost wiped out on the day I went, but they said they will fill up more stuff today.
Update: 20% off meat. 10% off cigarette.
They open Tomorrow(14th Oct). I don't know what's going on, They keep postponing their closing down.
I guess they try to get rid of all their stuff which are popular, in the meantime, they fill up more stuff to make people keep coming.
