Description

Regal By Anh Hoang 100% Pure Isopropyl Alcohol (Rubbing Alcohol) - (5 Litre)

Isopropyl Alcohol 100%

Isopropyl is a commonly used solvent and cleaning liquid. Also referred to as rubbing alcohol, this chemical solvent is found in many everyday products.

This high purity means it is great for cleaning by simply wiping it onto the surface and within seconds it evaporates off leaving no residue behind. You can use isopropyl alcohol 100% for a variety of applications such as cleaning, disinfecting, cleaning mirrors, stainless, using it for 3D printers, removing sticky residue, cleaning glass, as a hand sanitiser and much more. Isopropyl alcohol is also miscible in water therefore you can dilute it down to suit your needs.

Isopropyl Alcohol can be used for a multitude of uses including: Household, Beauty, Industrial & Gardening

Household & Cleaning

When to use 100% Isopropyl Alcohol Straight (no dilution)

Use as a household cleaner – great for kitchens, bathrooms, and other surface areas (cleans sticky grime and residue)

When to dilute your 100% Isopropyl Alcohol

When using on granite, wood floors and upholstery (recommend 1/4 Isopropyl Alcohol, 3 drops dish detergent, 1 cup of water and a couple of essential oil)
When using as a Hand Sanitiser (recommend 3/4 cup Isopropyl Alcohol and 1/4 aloe vera gel)

Beauty

As make up brush cleanser (allow to air dry)
IPA is great for cleaning the surface of nails and producing maximum nail shine (commonly used in the finishing steps of gel manicures to remove the sticky residue layer)

Industrial & DIY

Alternative to alcohol wipes
Used for ink painting
Take paint off vinyl dolls
Cleans the residue built up on 3D printers
Great for artists – especially for watercolours and colour dye

Silk plant and flower cleaner
Percentage Differences in Isopropyl

Isopropyl Alcohol 100% is our most popular grade of Isopropyl. A grade of 90% – 100% offers a greater evaporation rate (dries faster) and is suitable for the majority of industrial users and cleaners. It is often used for disinfecting, window cleaning, stainless steel cleaning and to kill bacteria. The more basic percentage is 70% which is a lower grade that is less harsh when applied to the skin.

Artists Choice solvents and removers are sourced from the purest forms of salon based liquid solutions available in Australia. All products are made to professional salon quality and contain absolutely zero fillers.

  • Dam it! I just bought two smaller bottles from Jaycar. I needed to clean some pc components asap. FFS!

      Sticky keyboard?

      • +3

        It was a ghost…ectoplasm…

        • Keep going. I'm almost there.

    • Metho is still half the price of this.

$30 if you can pickup from one of the listed suburbs in VIC. I got one from these guys, no issues

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Isopropyl-Alcohol-IPA-99-9-5L-AU…

Grab one before wave 2 panic buying starts.

    • Thanks! Got one

    • Thanks mate.
Not bad for covid19 prices. I think I paid $20 delivered a couple years ago so $30 pickup is reasonable given the circumstances

    • -2

got one, $30 is pre-covid price!

      • so your negative vote based on previous price point which .. by the way, unobtainable .. if you can't find similiar price (with delivery) cheaper that this price now.. move on..

        • No I think the neg is because $30 from a local Vic seller is better for some (like me) than paying $19 more for delivery.

I picked mine up within 30 minutes of ordering.

          • -1

@edrift: That is not a valid neg. It is only one place in all of Australia, and we don't all live next to that shop to be able to buy it.

            • @bargainparker: fair point - tried to change it but it didnt let me. at the time of purchase, they had bulk discounts for 2 or more which i took advantage of. cheaper than original deal.

              • @sweepy: To revoke a vote, click on the votes link under the deal’s title or here.
Then find your name and tap the red dash next to it.

                • @Hargain Bunter: thanks. done. not upping though as it's not a deal in my books. same price everywhere. For those lucky enough to live in Mel the eBay seller is a good option to save postage.

                  • @sweepy: Cool I don’t feel strongly either way, just sharing knowledge. 🙂

I owe you a beer. Many thanks

Im still shocked at this price for 100%.

99% id believe, but my god totally pure hygroscopic liquids are usually stupid expensive.

Mainly because it has to be packaged in a vacuum and the container needs to be non porous.

That is really cheap for 100% IMO.

    • +2

I'm honestly doubtful that this could be 100% isopropyl. 99% is what most suppliers will prescribe as it covers them from anyone questioning the claim that it's 100%.
Maybe it's splitting hairs but still.

      • +1

The post from MasterScythe needs to be read with heavy sarcasm unless I'm mistaken.

  • Perfect to clean old thermal compound from cpu and gpu. Also perfect for ignite charcoal BBQ.

Or you could just get metho for way cheaper.

    • Metho will not work for many of the main uses of isopropyl alcohol, especially on electronics/circuit boards/etc.

      • In australia, it will, because most of our metho is just etho.

        97% from diggers.

They took the methanol out here and in nz because people wouldnt stop drinking it, even with the bittering agent.

    • I've cleaned plenty of electronics with metho including one time when my WC loop unfortunately sprung a leak years ago. Let the "purists" pay double the price …
      (Or a very niche case)

(And yet I'm still using 99% isoprop, just happened to buy pre-COVID, but trying to only use it where you can't really substitute it, e.g. hand sanitizer)

  • anyone know where i can get 5L perth pickup that isn't sold out or isn't bunnings? Diggers go for $27.50 for 500mls.

edit: just ordered from kogan - doubt i'll find it for that cheap in perth, let alone in stock.

  • FYI: Great for treating wounds and cuts and for many other health uses.

    • +1

Don't use alcohol for cleaning wounds or cuts - it irritates and can kill tissue. Use soap and water instead.

  • 1L with Aloe Vera $10 at KMart

  • -5

well it’s not imported so people can’t say prices are higher than in the past due to aussie dollar ……cost a bit under $20 delivered on ebay from nailz pre covid, still have 4 litres think i will wait …

    • so your negative vote based on previous price point which .. by the way, unobtainable .. if you can't find similiar price (with delivery) cheaper that this price now.. move on..

      • +2

See my other comment. Plenty of other stores selling for $50 delivered. No bargain to be had.
A few stores are much cheaper if you can pick up instead of paying for shipping.

  • +2

i don't really agree with negging based on distant historical prices in general - plus it's worth considering that COVID has caused a massive spike in demand for this product inflating price dramatically and changing the current market price which is what we must base our purchasing decisions on if a product is needed now not in the past or far future.

that said the current price at Catch is better at $47.45 with a free club catch trial, and if you have suncorp (or other) discounted GC portal, you can get 6% off Catch egift card making final price $44.60 delivered,

    • +1

Of course a deal shouldn't be negged based on previous price. You look at the current price and only neg if you can find it cheaper somewhere else, but not just because it was x amount before and now is xx.

one litre for $20 if that suits people better: https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/le-beauty-isopropyl-alcohol-1l-…

  • Paid $70+ for 5 Litres delivered about a month ago, could not get it any cheaper at the time that i could find.

Same product from Amazon at same price but if you have discounted gift cards and depending on whether there is any cashback, this might be the best deal:
