    Is this top quality?

  • What's the difference between the two ? Both 4K and non smart tv.

    • +4

One is from Soniq, the other is from Aiwa

    • Not a whole lot, check out the specs.

Aesthetics and 50Hz vs 60Hz, not sure if that works out to 10fps difference though heh

    • +2

Also, Aiwa has HDMI ARC (send audio from a TV to the sound bar or AV receiver) and is brighter, 380 cd/m² vs 250 which may make a difference during day time viewing.

      • +1

Aiwa less number of usb port and no optical as well. Not that much of problem though.

    • Thanks. I'll probably go with Aiwa. It looks to be the better buy with 60 hz and HDMI ARC.

  • I got the exact same Aiwa model through Amazon for 595 in December last year for my office.

It’s nice enough…colours are a bit saturated, and sound is anemic. But for under 600, it’s great value.

  • Bought a similarly cheap Chinese Jaeger 65" from Catch. Just out of warranty and its dead. Landfill :(
Ayonz is the servicing people and they don't want to look at it as it is over 12 months. Tried to get a replacement power board off them but no good. This same powerboard is used in lots of cheap brands (incl Aldi's Brauhn) and lots of people have same issue. Planned obsolescence?

I bought the Jaeger 75" two years ago and it's still running great.

If it's less than 2 years old, you should be covered by ACL warranty.

  • I just bought the aiwa 65, it seems ok as a cheap 4k screen, though the speakers are rubbish
