        If the sim is not activated within 30 days of purchase, it only affects on inclusions advertised, in case they change the advertising in the future such as bonus data.
        So you absolutely can activate a sim after 30 days but the inclusions advertised will not be guaranteed.

            @fozzie: Yep, you have to 30 days to activate for the special offer in the plan. Also, they said that "you can still activate within 24 months of purchase, however outside of the advised 30 days, the plan inclusions may change, and we would let you know if this happened".

  I am with catch connect now and it's due to expire next month. How long should I wait before porting in to catch connect again? I am planning to port out to kogan .

  My scenario will be

  1. Port out from catch connect to kogan, 2-3 weeks before my catch connect expires

  2. Port back to catch connect after how long?

    Why are you porting out 2-3 weeks prior to Catch Connect Expiry (unless you've already run out of data and there' sno point continuing)

    2 . Port back to catch connect after how long?

    Keep it 30 days at least and use a different Catch Connect account (sign up with a different email address)

    As per the standard conditions always. There are reports it may still work, but to be safe, activate within 30 days of Purchase.

    I always wondered if they actually track 'Purchase Date' against the 'Activation Date' when activating and decide what 'benefits' of the plan you get.

    You also can't use (e)gift cards to recharge or top up.
