  • I brought three, headed down and got them just in time it seems!

Looks like people bought bucketloads. I thought 2 was a lot, tempted to get more but wanted to leave some for others . Didn’t earlier people were buying 6 or more

  • Got two, Thanks OP.

  • I bet it was Broden

  • Just picked my 1 up. No issues collecting but they didn’t check a screen before handing it over.

  • got two …..picked up no issue….ran out of the store quickly :)

looks like i just placed in time…thanks op

  • Amazon needs to start doing this sort of thing, it is about time we had some competition as Dan's prices have been creeping up for a while now

Picked up without issue. Guy who gave it to me said they received an email from corporate stating it was an error.

However, they are to honour successful orders already in the system.

  • Customer service were happy to place a new order for me at the same price when mine was cancelled.

  • Aaah missed out. Its a good deal.

Was a price error in the end. Not a deal.

  • I got two as a pick up :)

  • damn missed out. CC is my favourite :(

  • Thanks OP, collected my 2 bottles without a fuss 2 hours ago.

  • Missed out and they emailed me to say its $34 now.. But that's a lie as well. 😑

  • Picked up 10 min after order went through

  • Always miss these cheap alcohol deals it’s a shame

  • Thanks OP managed to get 1 - the staff at the Woolloongabba store said that it was a price error and only up for 40mins before they corrected it

Available on back-order at Amazon now for $26 :)

    • Thanks doweyy… Just grabbed a bottle of CC for $26 from Amazon.

    • Now its $42, must have changed it back after realising the Dans price error

      • +1

Must have just sold out unfortunately, it was sold by Amazon AU but now has reverted back to a 3rd party seller.

  • The pricing error makes sense. When I went to the store to collect my bottles tonight I said to the guy "The deal didn't last long hey, lots of buyers?" He just replied "Yes" without looking at me then didn't say anything until he handed over the bottles. I wondered why he seemed annoyed lol.

So much for trying to make small talk. He probably thought you were another Ozbargain vulture.

      • Yeah I know I thought it was odd, usually Dan Murphy's staff are so nice. We may like our bargains but we also drive in sales for businesses which is the point of these deals anyway.

Why would he be bothered by it? Why would he care? He just works there, it's not like it's coming out of his pocket directly. And I'm sure the pricing error isn't his fault.

      • Exactly it doesn't make sense to me either. But at the same time maybe he takes his job seriously I dunno.

        • +2

Might be as simple as not being the best customer service guy or just having a bad day :)

          • @Abbi: That's the most simplest theory. Or it could be that the person takes their job seriously and is annoyed that the company has leaked out money due to an error caused by someone at head office. Most people in my company treat company money like it's coming out of their pocket directly even though they just work there so when we lose money for something we don't agree with some people get annoyed so that is plausible even if you don't think it should matter.

            I guess we'll never know :)
