      I bought 3 of this at $140 each (damn!) last summer. They are pretty good, fairly silent and strong flow, solid build quality. IMO this is as good as it get for a tower fan.

      I am pretty sure Amazon uses dynamic pricing according to demand. i.e. if demand goes up, so does price.
