Finally.. Well done!! Time to spend!!

  • So far, has anyone received an email about the $100.00 Kmart gift card + the 75k flybuys points?

I have met the spend criteria almost 4 weeks back.

    No contact so far.

    • I met the criteria a few weeks back - no contact yet.

    • Emails will be sent out 8 weeks after met the spending target, contacted CITI and was told to wait for the email

      • And then another 8 weeks to get the promised stuff.

        • +1

Before you know it, it will be another year, another 149 AF :(

  • Perhaps contact them via Webchat?

  • +3

Received email today advising 'Flybuys BONUS POINTS and $100 Kmart eGift Card are ready to collect'. Met minimum spend requirements on 13 August.

    • I came here to say the exact same thing! YAY

      • I came here to say very similar thing :D
Minimum spend met on the 17th :D

        Ciao Citi…. haha

    • Got it today too!

      • Points will be credited 'within 6 weeks'

        • +1

Has anyone been credited their flybuys points yet? Almost 6 weeks hmm.

    • Username checks out. Gotz mine too!

  • When you guys has reached the $3000 spending requirement, did you check if you accumulated 3000 points - under the Rewards tab in your account?

I've spent more than $3400 on it but can only see ~2900 points so far.

    • Maybe the other $500 is still pending transactions? I think you only get points once the payment has completed.

    • +1

You don't get points for all transactions. I spent $3,000, only got 2,600 points but still got the gift card and flybuys points

      • +1

Same I missed out on about $1000 worth of points which I've always got with other credit cards. I think most were government related as they don't count with Citi.

        • +1

          I've paid council fee of $501 - i guess that's the one.

          • @timhn: Yeah same. I paid the council for a hall hire for my wife which was $1000 and didn’t even think about the fact it’s still a government body. Oh well once I get the Flybuys points I’m closing the card.

            • @bobwokeup: Has the flybuys points been credited to your account yet?

              • +1

@sicinadan: Not yet but I got the email on 2/9 with the $100 Kmart gift card and a link to give them my flybuys details (after doing that it told me the points will be issued within 6 weeks).

              • +1

@sicinadan: Nope not yet… 6 weeks will be this week so will follow up with Citi soon

                • +2

@FatGPT: I called CITI once for a pervious deal and I was told CITI has NOTHING to do with flybuys, so I need to call flybuys but they couldn't give me a number to call. LOL

                  • @sicinadan: Wow, that doesn't fill me with much confidence… looks like a game of phone tag to be played shortly!

                    • +2

@FatGPT: Today is the 6th week, still, no FB points, had online chat and they are looking into it

        • Got email on the 2/9 with $100 gift card - send the flybuys number back the next day - 6 weeks is now due (or overdue). No flybuys points yet.

  • +2

I reached my spend target around August 26. I'll update when I receive my email.

    • +2

Received the email Thursday, but jut saw it now.

The Kmart gift card is ready for immediate download. You will receive bonus points within 6 weeks once you submit your FB number.

      • +1

Received my flybuys points now. Very quick. No where near 6 weeks.

  • Met the spend criteria 7 weeks ago, I know it says up to 8 weeks but judging by the comments above many others have been getting the confirmation email for the points/voucher much sooner. Should I be worried?

  • Same here. Met the spend criteria. Still no email.

I'm going by the points to validate my spend criteria. Currently it's over 3000.

Will update once I hear from them.

Second card this year i've been rejected from instantly (first one ANZ). Can't really figure out why unless they can see that I always pay on time…

  • Can anyone confirm that this allows Google pay with your phone?

  • This deal has extended to 17th Dec.

  • Wonder if you can apply for this offer again given there's no exclusion period between each application.

  • +1

Has anyone got their Flybuys points yet?

    • +2

Nothing here. Original email stated that 'the flybuys points will be credited to your flybuys account within 6 weeks from the date we receive your flybuys membership number'. In my case that should be by Wednesday.

      • Same here - fingers crossed they are credited tomorrow

    • Got mine today

  • hi op, you might want to change the offer valid date to 17 dec 2020 as new updated advertise. cheers

  • anyone got the credit?

    • +1

Do you mean the flybuys points? Nope, not yet… been 5 weeks and 6 days….

  • +1

This wait is a bit disappointing considering they seemed to have credited points instantly when it comes to QFF points. Seems to be a Flybuys issue, not Citi.

    • +2

Very disappointing and I doubt I would ever take up a Flybuys points deal on a credit card again… QFF points far quicker and more valuable

      • +1

True, it slows the rate of churning.

6 weeks to the day today in receiving my bonus points email + providing my flybuys number. Instead of the bonus points, this morning they sent me a cheeky credit card statement. Sad.

    • CITI has been a bit doggy as well. They have cancelled my Fixed payment options prior the 12 weeks time so they don't have to send me the gift card

      • -1

        CITI= Woof Woof!

    • +1

Received bonus points today, 2 days late.
      Cya Citibank. 👋

      • Ooh, noticed a $50 evoucher offer for the Citi PayAll thingamie in the mobile app. Fine I’ll stick around until I receive that too.

  • I got Kmart gift card 3 weeks back, waiting for the flybuys points.

  • +1

Don't forget to use your reward points before closing your card. If we ever get the Flybuy points that is…

$20 wish egift card is 4200 points

    • What is everyone using their flybuys points on? Looks like $375 worth of Coles/Kmart/target vouchers is available. What else? I shop at Woolies so not used to flybuys points…

      • Can u use FB points to buy GC ?

        • Yes you can. Coles, Target, Kmart plus a few others

          • +1

@aneil915: Feel safer if it was actual GC than flybuys dollars
            Thanks Aneil915

    • This might be a dumb question but…How do we use the rewards points to get the wish egift card? :)

      • Try logging in on pc and follow the Citi rewards link from the website. Can't do it from the app AFAIK.

        • Ohhhhh thanks no wonder I can't find it!

  • Got my flybuys points today

    • How long after you sent them your FB number?

      • 2nd September

      • Hi, how did you send them fb number?

I called them, they said they are going to send us email to put our fb number is that true?

        • Yes Citibank email you requesting your FB number along with your $100 Kmart gift card once you meet the requirements.

    • Got my points today. Cancelled card online. Wondering if I can apply for the same card again with the $500 evoucher + $100 kmart offer). ? The terms are not very clear.

      • +1

Yes you can :). I have asked online

        • I was thinking the same as well as there was no mentioned of it in the T&C.

  • Hi Guys,

Recently got approved for this card. They just sent an email saying that I am approved after verifying my documents. Hopefully should arrive soon.

Just need some suggestions, how can I get to spend $3k within 3 months without forcing myself to buy stuff that I dont want. Would gift card be considered under the spending limit ? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Apologies if this discussed before and thanks for the assistance.

    • Woolworths gift cards count. Get in quick before the discounted cards are gone!

    • Get a westfield debit visa with 3k balance. You can use it anywhere that accepts visa.

  • Just tried to use my $100 Kmart voucher and flybuys points to buy some things online from Kmart. Not sure if everyone knew this but you can't use them online!!!!!! WTF??? No even click and collect.

So basically you can't spend this until the physical stores actually open again.

  • If you already have a citibank credit card, can you still get this deal?

  • +1

Have now had my FlyBuys points credited, about 3 weeks since receiving the Kmart voucher.

    • Same here. Now just have to wait for the remain +3000 points transfer to FB and close the card.

  • After giving me the run around in July when I applied and they rejected my application, I remembered this was about to expire. So I did a quick application last night and within a few working hours (our time) I got a message saying I was approved. No changes in circumstances. Get the points and voucher and get out!
