Montgomery 100L/60L Heavy Duty Plastic Storage Containers $20/$14 @ Bunnings

160

Was looking for some plastic stackable storage containers and found these in the specials section at Bunnings - Montgomery Grey And Green Heavy Duty Storage Container With Clip Lid. They come in 60L and 100L sizes. They are really solid heavy duty boxes, unlike some others which are very flimsy and twice the price. Not sure of their regular price, but seems a bargain to me.

Heaps available at my local Bunnings.

  • I picked up some of these last week and they seem to be well built for the price. These are the cheapest of the proper built boxes that I could find as well. Hopefully they stay at this price.

    • Have been this price for ages. I think it’s the standard price

I've got these flip-lid ones ($14 and $18 each) and rather pleased that I can't lose the lids behind my workbenches.

Pleasantly suprised by the lid strength; because they interlock they don't easily bow in the middle as other styles do. Would recommend.

Have both the flip and normal lid Montgomery's and agree they're quality items - relatively speaking. Flip lid models are great for convenience, camping etc. Officeworks Burrows hvy duty boxes (more expensive) are also good products for anyone looking for a tough storage container which will take some knocks. Only minor issue with these boxes (if you have a few of them) is that you can't see at a glance what's in them. Life's tough! :-) Good opportunity there for a smart marketer to have a range of different coloured lids for quick identification.

you can't see at a glance what's in them

Better that than clear boxes that are seemingly super brittle. Especially after any weathering

  • Anyone has some experience with these? Was going to buy it to tey but how good are they really?
Ive had some 110 storage boxes from auslink (the ones that you find in asian $2 shops) and after about 6 years they are starting to loose strength

I have a few of these. They’re ok. Not super heavy duty. I haven’t treated them badly and they haven’t broken unexpectedly

  • Damn, these look great 👌

  • 19 and 13.30 for power pass holders.

  • Bought a few from Reject Shop a few years ago with yellow lid for $10 each. Different brand but the same.

  • They have been this price for awhile, since June, anyway.

I also rate these as the the best bang for buck storage options.
I have at least 10 of them, I'm currently using them all in storage atm, for over a year now, as well using some a few years before.

Not sure how the flip lids thou, I don't have any of these.

This is the 3rd change of boxes, the 1st had yellow lid but designed differently, they then changed lid, still yellow but would not stack (too well) with the older version, I have a few of these too. I do like the grey color they got now.

They did a larger size 120 or 150Litre a long time ago, cant recall which atm, if they did I would get a few more of them, tried a few stores & online :(

I got some of the Costco 102L when on sale ($4 off) last week for $14.69, got some, they have a firm click, these look/seem on par with this brand (Mont).

    I hope this helps someone.
