NSW, Kmart, jug water filter cartridges

It looks like Kmart are clearing out their store brand "home maker" type jug water filter cartridges.

this covers both the tube shape and the newer rectangle shape.

the $3.00 price covers a 2 pack of cartridges, making them a $1.50 each!

I actually bought the tube shape universal filter cartridge, then emptied the new filter media in to a used filter cartridge to fit my jug.

truly universal if you're happy to use a knife :)

they seem quite well made and my mouth can't tell the difference to a pricy BRITA Filter

Kmart Burwood (VIC) has them too, both cylindrical and rectangular. There was plenty of stock Sunday afternoon. I bought nine packs of the rectangular ones, which are compatible with Brita Maxtra cartridges. Should keep me going for a while!

These are available at many kmart stores but i would avoid these as "MADE IN CHINA" and as such the quality is very suspicious and there is plenty to read up on about what they put into these filters which is not exactly healthy. I dare say this is why these are now a "clearance" item to get rid of them!
