  • Price in title plz.

  • $80 for 5kg Impact Whey PRotein

  • Haha, ridiculous shipping pricing! Bulk Nutrients or most places way cheaper than this.

      These guys are from UK.

Personally I'd pick MP over BN every time.

      • Based on the quality/taste?

        • Yes and price.

Also their active wear and other supps are good quality too.

        • When I was a student I used to go for BK just because of the price and the slightly higher protein content per serving. But MP is just way way better in terms of dissolvability and taste.

          • @julianlzz94: really depends on the flavours but is true more often than not.

  • 40% off is good but the shipping for 1kg of stuff is $20 and will take 7-10 days. That's a deal breaker.

Agreed. I can get a few kgs worth of supplements delivered my my door (ordered on a Friday and received on a Monday/Tuesday) from iherb and delivery is free. As much as I want to try MP, there are so many cheaper alternatives. The 40% discount means very little when their shipping is extremely overpriced.

*edit - I rest my case. $20 minimum to ship 2x 25g samples

I always buy a couple bags or share with others to get the free shipping. It's not worth it if you spend under the $150.

My personal trainer has a code for 40% and 1/2 price shipping. If anyone wants message me.

  • Average protein at best. If cost is your primary concern then you can do the sums but if taste, texture or mixability are a priority then give this a miss.

    • what do you recommend to get instead then?

      • Currently Ghost is my favourite with really thick creamy flavourful products even mixed with water. Can't buy in bulk though, so it's 5/5 for every metric but value, where it's a 1/5. Value isn't the most important thing to me, I'd rather pay 50 cents/$1 a serve more for something that really is delicious, I finish it and want more vs something which is ok and just fulfilling a nutrient need. Just because I love it though I keep trying other ones because you don't know how good something is until you find something better.

There's some Spartan Whey cheap on Amazon which I ordered from the US, interested to give it a go.

I prefer Venom to BN, but I just wouldn't buy from MP again. ON Gold is better than all these and I'd buy it depending on the price/flavour available.

Rule 1 protein is the best on the market in terms of quality and taste. Made in US and is an isolate. On Gold is marketed at an isolate but it is actually a concentrate if you check the fine print, so this protein is rubbish.

          • @N21212: Had some Rule 1 protein samples in with an order I got recently, not good enough to make me want to buy a tub. Didn't stand out from the crowd for me, but taste is very subjective, so won't argue that but I found it very thin.

You mean ON marketing as 'WPI - Primary Source' isn't a giveaway that it's a blend, hardly fine print when it's in the ingredients. That's like saying cordial marketed as 'Orange Fruit Flavoured Drink' is disingenuous.

For most people WPI, WPC or blend will make very little difference - nor would you ever know without some sort of product analysis.

          • +1

@N21212: Rule 1 is in the same catagory as ON Gold and a heap of other American "junk food" protein powders. It's jam-packed with artificial sweeteners (Sucralose and Acesulfame-K) and uses GMO soy lecithin as a thickening agent. You couldn't pay me to consume that crap.

            • @aldroid: Delicious!

              • +1

@bxpressiv: Hahaha. When it comes to making gainz, flavour is irrelevant.

                • @aldroid: I use it for weight management more than anything else, it might fit in with my exercise but I know how much is in each serve and it's better than a chocolate bar or bowl of ice cream. So flavour number 1, gimme the sweet sweet poison!!!

  • 40% is pretty much their standard price. Not worth it unless you buy on a 50% off discount.

  • Also students get 45% off everyday….
