Free Shipping on Chocolate at Green Grove Organics

910

Free shipping this weekend only as mentioned in https://www.facebook.com/141394632573910/posts/3152880471425…. The banner on the site itself says free shipping for orders over $150 but I think that’s just the normal thing.

Made at the Junee Licorice & Chocolate Factory (but they trade as Green Grove Organics).

The $35 chocolate pizza wheel is recommended for the ooh-arr factor but there are freckles for just $1.50 if you really want to screw over a small business in postage costs that normally relies on direct sales to tourists and probably isn’t getting much of that right now due to Covid. Please don’t make me regret posting this, OzBargainers. I’m not affiliated, I just like having really good chocolate made close by and want that to continue into the future.

  • Would you recommend the mixed choc balls for $5? I want to try their product.

    • +2

Haven't tried them, sorry, but as a sampler it makes sense. The white chocolate coated licorice is my go to whenever I go there.

      • Here's hoping it's good, bought the balls and a bag of seconds. Want to try diff bits lol.

      • They were really good, thanks op.

    Good deal.

One problem with their website is that they don't list the weight / quantity of some of their products.

    Gave it a whirl.

    • Me too!

How do these compares to haigh’s?

Choc raspberry licorice and mixed seconds on their way. Thanks OP, keen to support rural small biz even though I can't travel out there right now.

  • Purchased some, was hoping it was in Shop Small.. (it’s not)

    • +2

It is actually, but not orders via the website which is processed by shopify

      • Oh what a shame, I would be buying more otherwise!

live in the town, might be bias, best choclate and licorice, they import the chocolate from Germany as there is not certified organic at the scale they use. The bags of choclate can be used for the best rocky road, and melted down for th best hot choclates going.

The blocks are listed at $3.50 or $7, depending on flavor, and most likely weight. Anyone know the weights (I can’t see them listed)?

  • +2

    I highly recommend their licorice

  • Thanks OP, got 500g of factory seconds and 2 bars (milk with dark topping plus a coconut milk chocolate) 👍🏽

Oh no! Just spent 50 bucks on sugar I’m supposed to be giving up!! Oops

    • Same here!

I keep telling myself I'll just eat a little bit at a time and before I'm about to exercise…

    • On the same boat! But I'll use the excuse of supporting a local business :P

  • Anyone purchased from them before, comment on weight of those blocks and pizza.

  • +1

Anyone can comment on their dark chocolate?
Is it like regular sweet, semi-sweet or barely sweet?

  • Thanks OP .Spent $50 ,happy to support small Aussie business.Looks like an amazing place will have to visit when we are allowed in NSW.

  • It's only appropriate I buy

  • Thankyou! Just purchased.

  • Purchased! Can't wait :)

  • Top Aussie chocolate!!! 🤤

    • +1

Not trying to be party pooper but saying top "Aussie chocolate" is incorrect as someone above pointed out that the chocolate is imported from Germany and converted here into finished product. Just thought it's important to point out that while it is an Aussie business, it's certainly "imported" ingredients.

      • Not trying to be party pooper but saying top "Aussie chocolate" is incorrect as there was probably someone on a temporary visa making this chocolate :P

        trolls n runs away

  • Just tried to place an order and shipping no longer seems to be free

    • Free shipping ended at 4pm, as per FB post. Bit odd to end it in the arvo, instead of midnight.

  • +2

Has this finished? The website is trying to charge me $15 for shipping (but free for pick-up).

    • Mentioned in another comment that the business had the promo to end at 4pm Sunday, so you won't be able to get it since it's after 4 now :(

  • Shipping coming up $15

    • +1

Promo ended at 4pm today, hence why they're charging for shipping.

  • Delivered very quickly.

Got the seconds and drinking chocolate.

    Very yummy.

    • +1

Did you get email that they sent it?
As mine doesn't seem be even sent yet :(…

    • I got the seconds too but a bit disappointed as there weren't too many different items :(

  • Received today too but my chocolate freckled bars were broken. :(

    • My chocolate orange block was also broken in half :( Not a biggie though

Tried the rocky road- was ok but wasn't overly impressed, I think Darrell Lea's rocky road is better.

  • Really wanted to love these choccies, but a bit disappointed. So far (only the seconds bag tried), the chocolate tastes (& mouth feels) a little too ‘compound’ for my liking.

    • Later: am enjoying the dark choc coated licorice

  • My order arrived, I can confirm the weight of the following items

    Rocky Road 65g
Chocolate Blocks range between 100g and 120g (the ones with freckles)

  • +1

Really enjoyed the caramelised white chocolate block. Great flavour.

The milk chocolate was good too.

Dark chocolate block was a bit too sweet and not enough cocoa flavour. But still yummy.

    Would definitely order again
