Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G 128GB $1749 + $200 Extra for Trading in @ Samsung Store

110

The base price looks to be fairly common, however Samsung store is giving an extra $200 if you trade in + whatever the trade in is actually worth.

For example Galaxy S6 32g trade in is normally $10 but they are now giving $210.

$50 voucher for signing up to their mailing list too.

Costco has this for $1699.99 until 15th July

    Thanks op.

But big NO for me due to its Exynos chip.

    • +2

True, we are paying premium pricing for an inferior chips

      • That’s right. Price they asked suppose to equip with Snapdragon chip.

There is rumour saying note20 series come with snapdragon, inefficient Exynos chips will be stopped manufacturing.

        • +1

It does comes with Snapdragon but only for US, China and Canada as usual. Rest of all, it’s Exynos again.

          • @Smokey010: Will see. there r rumours that Sammy is going to disband Exynos team

        • Note20 rumours: Exynos 992, SD 865+, instead of the 990 from the S20 series.

Hopefully enough improvement in efficiency and performance to be onpar with the SD 865(+), otherwise I'm not going to bother

          • @sssbp: Just read reports that the global will be still on the 990 for the Note, no 992. Gonna be a massive difference between the variants. Samsung won't be getting 1 cent from me.

            • @Webbo: will the SD version work here in aus?

              • +1

@Crumydog: yes, if you can import one but then warranty and returns become issue.

            • @Webbo: Damnit. Hope it isn't true but certainly wouldn't be surprising if it was

I have one of these… its crap… stick to the s10… some apps are buggy… performance is nothing to write home about for a flagship

Just check the trade-in for my Note 9 512GB 8GB RAM, they wanted $220, then extra $200, $450….might as well give away the phone.

    • What was the maximum trade-in value for you Note 9?

      • Max for Note 9 was $220.

    • +2

I'll give you $400 for your note 9

      • So $220 + $200 extra trade in..
Nah..I'll keep it, and when I get a new phone I will give it to a family member.

    • Note 9 is still good phone, try to sell on Gumtree or Marketplace for $500, I'm still using Note 9, it's rock solid phone, can't afford phone over 1k anyway

I am increasingly happy just sticking to my S9 after the real user feedback came in… The 2k phones just don't deliver as yet.

  • Just got 1 July security patch with further camera updates this week….

    • I haven't gotten a single update since manually upgrading to Android 10.

      • Who you with?

        Wouldn't S20 come with Android 10 anyway?

        • +1

Possibly grey import and/or incorrectly upgrading with the wrong firmware which killed the automatic carrier android updates

        • I have the Note9. I'm with Vodafone.

  • Will they accept a cracked screen S8? Edit: Probably better off replacing the screen and selling it.
