    Cheers, ordered some

  • OP which do you prefer, the Pinot or Shiraz?

    • +1

Pinot every time for me. Cheers RD :-)

      • Sorry code doesn't seem to work with the Lakeside Pinot - only the Shiraz.

        • Let me check. brb. RD

          • @RD ADL: Looks to be working at our end…… feel free to call us on 08 8383 2700, happy to help you through…..

            • @RD ADL: All good now, didn't realise I needed to buy via the wine Shed Sale page (was adding individual bottles).

Got billed a little extra for the Pinot ($56.25), but happy with that price for 6 bottles.

              • @railspider: Ah sorry for the confusion. Happy to fix it up if you'd prefer. RD

Congratulations on the new change! will try out the cab sav.

    • Thanks Caobey - now you know why we went a little quiet. ;-) Cheers! RD :-)

Thanks ordered a 6 pack. Have never tried your shiraz

    • You're in good hands ;-) RD

saw the last two comments after I purchased. will order the Pinot next time.

        • +1

Look, that's just my personal preference. I prefer Pinots generally to Shiraz. I'm not a big shiraz guy. In fact, my favorite variety is gamay but we don't even grow it! BUT you won't be disappointed. It's a great value shiraz. Cheers! RD :-)

  • +1

Hi RD ADL. I've been buying from you guys for a while, can you confirm the pinot is the 2019?
    The website says 2018.
    Cheers,
    Damo

Hi Damo. Nice pick-up. It's the 2019 - Hanne is changing it now for me. Cheers! RD
See how good you guys are proofing the new site ;-)

        Thanks mate, purchased.

loved the mixed pack we ordered last time. ordered 12pk shiraz and 12pk pinot with this deal.

    • Thanks Dhiren. Richard :-)

  • Pinot Noir comes up as $96.75 for the dozen for me.

The way the post is written, thought it was $89.25/doz delivered.

    Could you please clarify?

    • Head to www.wineshedsale.com.au and order the twelve pack there. Use the OZBARGAIN code and it should discount it back to $89.25/doz delivered.
Please feel free to call me on 08 8383 2700 if you continue to have an in issue and I'll fix it. Hope that helps. Richard :-)

    Hey RD,

Ordered a dozen of the shiraz and cab sav. I assume you'll get a bit of volume ordered at this price. Any idea on the timing on shipping? I'm up in Sydney but could be a slow trip with everything going on in Melbourne.

Looking forward to giving them a go, might grab the pinot next time.

    • +2

Futureminime, I've always found the courier these guys use to be the fastest going around. I'm in Melbourne and I regularly receive my wine within 48 hours from ordering.
Fingers crossed us Victorians don't ruin it for you this time around. Best of luck!

      Hey Future!
Service is a priority - all the orders through so far will leave tomorrow. Genrally, SYD takes about 5 working days. If you have a preferred courier, please let us know on the order. (Aus Post, Fastway or Couriers Please). No delays that we know of so far for deliveries….. Fingers crossed for our friends in VIC for all our sakes :-)

Thanks for the update. Yeah faster than I was expecting (was thinking more like 7-10 working days)

Looking forward to having a glass sometime next week.

  • not working properly for me…

    • Hi Skky - Technically, it'll give you the 25% plus free delivery on every product on the website.
The deal as it's posted relates to the pre-packed 6 and 12 bottle cases at www.wineshedsale.com.au
We've done some pre-mixed case deals in the past and we plan to again but bespoke mixed at these prices is challenging economically.
Happy to explain further should you wish and hope that helps. Cheers RD :-)

      • thank you , but how I can get it? that urlk redirects me to https://bechardy.com.au/ where I can't see any pre-packed cases.. Do you have direct link to those cases please?

          • +1

@RD ADL: that's much better, probably worth to change 'go to deal' url to it as well

            • @Skky: Yes, thanks for the head's up - not sure, 1. why it's done that or 2. how to change it! Any help gratefully accepted.

            • @Skky: Off to find a Moderator :-)

  • What's the pick of the bunch?

    • Hi lyork. hope you're good. My own choice is Pinot and Chardonnay but they're my general preferences when drinking anyway. Shiraz and Cabernet both good. Young, fresh, vibrant - drink now or cellar for a few years for a little extra mellowness (is that a word?) cheers! RD :-)

      • I was thinking the Lakeside Pinot Noir 2019, prob the best value if it's a good Pinot. I might give it a shot!

        • +1

I'd bet you can't find a better value Pinot in Australia…… and I'm not one for normally making calls of that nature. Fruit off that vineyard also goes into Geoff's K1 pinot, so it's all single-estate fruit. :-)

          • +1

@RD ADL: I'll order later this evening when I'm home as I don't have my wallet on me :)

  • +1

Sold me on the Pinot, Richard. Have ordered a case. Looking forward to tasting :)

    • +1

Thanks SM. Appreciate the support. :-)

  • Thanks OP. Any deals on your GMH SA Shiraz 2018 as well?

    • Sorry Boz - no longer "our" product. That belongs to my father-in-law Geoff. In reality the GMH/Lakeside wines are incredibly similar, Lakeside a more contemporary label style. Cheers RD

      • Funny how taste buds work, I'm by no means a wine connoisseur but for me the 2 were very different wines (and I don't tend to judge wine by its label)! Where's your father-in-law selling his GMH now?

        • +1

There are subtle variances to the final wine and often bottled at different times, so not exactly the same. They'll certainly change going forward. Geoff's site remains unchanged. You can read more about the changes to the family's businesses here :-)

Thanks RD. I did buy a few cases during your promotions a few months ago. I still have more than a dozen stored up. But I ordered a case still 😷. I bought the virtual tasting dozen twice for around the same price and your (I mean your FIL 😉) premium wines for something around 250 ish. Do you run these sales throughout the year? And How often?

    • +1

Hello Ohreally. Sorry for the delayed reply. Thanks for stocking up.

We have run those historic deals through OzBargain and into our own subscribers. Going forward the new home will be at www.wineshedsale.com.au

The frequency has been interrupted recently whilst the family put the finishing touches to a long-planned transition of the family business from Geoff Hardy to his daughter, Bec.
You can read more about that here -> https://bechardy.com.au/news/bec-hardy-wines-takes-over-owne…

Hope that explains it and if I can help further, please feel very welcome to be in touch.

      Best regards, Richard :-)

Cheers, bought a carton (12pk) of the Cab Sauv for something different. Enjoyed the virtual tasting pack a few months ago, the few I've tasted were great.
Shipping last time was quite quick for ADL -> BNE!

    • Thanks for that. Hopefully most of the orders will be leaving tomorrow, Wednesday latest, so fingers crossed they'll be with you double quick time! Cheers RD :-)
