Was snooping about looking for the $5 addon for 24 hours of unlimited data when I noticed they have double data on the data sims. May not be an especially good deal, but may appeal to any existing users as livechat were happy to "recontract" me over to the double data offer.

I guess 36 months is the length of the double data offer as the plans themselves are month to month
Crazy, right? That is a ridiculous amount of time for a phone plan. Can u imagine what was on offer 3 years ago and compare it to now?! Market/Tech moving too quick to lock that it for me
It is a month to month plan. You can cancel at any time. You are guaranteed the double data for 36 months.

Optus just gifted me an extra 20GB data for as long as i remain connected. so im still holding onto the $35 30GB deal that includes data free netflix and stan (which is now 50GB)
Is your plan a data-only plan or sim only?
With Optus I get (titled the eBay/Optus $50 plan) 100gb of data with unlimited calls/sms + unlimited international calls/sms too and from also while in the (zone 1) 35 countries + 4gb data roaming in those 35 countries,..
also stan/netflix/Abc iview/ABC Kids/ABC ME and Google Play Music/Spotify unmetered data, Optus sport free etc for a total of $35 per month,….
Plus second shared Optus data only sim for $15, I need too keep both plans as the first plan is discounted from having the second data plan (i think they made a big mistake for the discount should be only 20%), well the data sim is in my 4G modem which since its shared data of both plans 105gb which I use for my pc and fetch boxes ….. (why I don't bother with having the NBN at home,)
This was the ebay optus deal over a year ago also included was a $150 ebay voucher too top it off,.. and the plan even though is a 12 months contract but the discounts last for 24 months, ill be surely pushing Optus too continue the discounts past 24 months if they wanna keep me with them
Best speed test was 358Mbps download speeds with Optus using my Samsung Galaxy Note 9, unfortunately not at my home were i get a measly 50Mbps download speeds
Also noticed I'm still getting the COVID 20gb thingy so I've been having 125gb of total data too use monthly for both plans since June
Oh plus free 6 months Apple music subscription, its available too everyone just check in your Optus app if still available

But these plans the $25 plan you also get 50gb of data unless yours includes unlimited calls/sms

A bit vague, not sure if it includes Optus Sport.

and then under T&C's it states

I have it free in my $15 postpaid 5gb small data plan (that is Optus Sports free) though I've had this plan id say from last year, unless there offering double data and you need too pay for the Optus sport subscription not sure best maybe call them too make sure

Ok you can go both ways in its meaning I guess on above statement,.. well again I get it free on the same plans
Got to be very careful with Optus postpaid plans especially on their low data plans not too go over your allocated data or you'll get charged $10 for every 1GB going over (and that's not just once so 5gb will equal $50 cost), as i do best use your mobiles built-in data monitoring app in settings you can set it too stop at a certain data use point, make sure you set it on and right or whoops there goes your savings on the plan
As if you use the Optus app to check your data usage problem is there is a delay of 4 hours to last use of data usage and dare as I say like my Optus postpaid account I can't check at all my data usage on my Optus app or my Optus my account and even Optus online chat can't check my data usage either as there been havivg issues with there systems cause of the covid situation, well thats what they've been telling me,.. either way I don't care i've got a great plan deal with them and use my mobile built-in app too check my data usage anyway, another great app from playstore is Neo data app to check your data usage, well I use both too be safe 😃👍
