      $155 on some months
      + minmum plan cost too..

      • ðŸĨģ 😂

        • How is this a good deal?

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: You're not obliged to buy the add-on every day for the whole month, but it has its uses for particular cases.

For example, it might be good if you're out of town and without wi-fi, or on a road trip, or if NBN is down/slow.

      • Wouldn't it be cheaper to get $70 per month Unlimited 5G from Optus for both data+speed?

        • +1

Cheaper than paying $5/day every day for a month, yes.

Also, worth considering that with Optus 5G Home Broadband:

          • your minimum outlay is $270 (including a $200 start-up charge if you don't want a long contract); or $1680 if you sign up for 2 years
          • Optus won't sell it to you if you're not in an area serviced sufficiently by 5G (whereas you can use the $5 Unlimited Day on 5G or 4G or 3G)
          • you aren't as portable. I don't know if you're allowed to use it outside your nominated home - but even if so, you'd have to lug the modem around with you, and use it only where you can plug it into a power socket.
  • ugh, i remember $3 data days 10 years ago :D

  • +3

It was $2 unlimited 3G on their grandfathered 2 dollar day plan

Unlimited Data Day is available to approved customers on selected Postpaid mobile plans and Prepaid mobile services.

Postpaid: Optus Choice, Optus One, Optus Family and Optus Kids plans.

Prepaid: Customers on the Prepaid Epic Data plan who have a $30 or more recharge.

    • If you can deal with 7kbs speed Belong technically gives you unlimited data once you blow your load.

    • If you get it on family plan is it for all SIMs?

One could in theory split that plan up then and it's not a bad deal… $300/Mo for 4x unlimited - $75 per a SIM.

pay $5 to have your own data throttled….hmm…..yea nar…….

  • available on 5g!

    • Noice!

      • nioce!

Optus 5G purpotedly runs at around 300mb/s.

So in 24 hours you could potentially do ~3.2tb.

That's a moderate amount of pornography!

    • Managed that almost during the Optus COVID 20gb bonus glitch during April and most of May 2020 on 4G at 250Mbps at times, how great question you asked 😀ðŸĪŠðŸĪ‘👍
