I guess YMMV. I bought a grey Samsung S6 a few years back. Never skipped a beat and still works today. That said, the more the phone costs, the more sad you're likely to be if things go wrong.
I think it is just you Korona! Maybe you have bad luck with phones?
Only buy cheap grey phones and don't care loosing money from dropping or breaking down especially an expensive iphone or expensive samsung phone, my 2 cents
I am curious about people's dealings with this company.
I am tempted to buy a smart watch off them as they are significantly cheaper than a grey from Aussie Seller. But looking at the reviews of this seller they are very hit and miss. if I m just going to end up with a Paypal case in a months time I may as well buy elsewhere.
I expect they are at minimum very slow, but are there any happy stories with TobyDeals?

As you said, pay with PayPal, you'll atleast get 6 months protection.
After that, you'd have a better time pissing against the wind than dealing with them. My experience was with a smart watch, which I paid a fortune to send back and then get told I need to show videos of it's fault while it's in their possession…. Oh and they change names cause well that hides their past.
I also despise companies adding au into their website and title when they aren't in Australia…. Pretty deceiving.
Check the Xiaomi sub thread over on WP. Plenty of happy customers there also some who were frustrated with slow or non supply.
Their in stock comment is not to be believed as they dont manage their site very well.
If it is not shipped in a week just claim your money back.
As with all grey market sellers warranty is virtually non existent. Part of the price you pay for a bargain.

Lesson learnt. Never deal with these crooks. They should be banned from Ozbargain. You'll never hear anything from them.
OzB's who've experienced TD's "optional warranty" do 2 things:
1) Suggest you don't buy from them; and
2) Suggest you pay $239 for a much better phone with local warranty
Got the A31 -128gb for $217. Much better phone!!
