  • You can also use periods (.) in Gmail eg

[email protected] is the same as

    [email protected]
    [email protected]
    [email protected]

    You get the idea.

Edit: please don't spam my Gmail now that I have made it public

My understanding is that this is almost Gmail specific and other email providers do not offer that capacity.

    • You can also change gmail.com to googlemail.com

  • Thanks, I tried [email protected] and it worked. But it didnt work for tomato+work@[godaddy].com.au?

Why do you have a godaddy email address anyway? Maybe start a new Gmail address and advise your clients. In the meantime auto forward your godaddy to your new Gmail for a while. ISP email addresses are a PITA.

      • GoDaddy is not an ISP. OP doesn't have an @godaddy.com.au address. He has a @OPsDomain.com.au address where "OPsDomain" is hosted by GoDaddy. At least that is my understanding.

        • That makes sense. Cheers

        • yes, this is correct.

    • Thanks @pjetson, I had a quick look, seems it's not very straightforward like the gmail…hv u tried it yourself before? Seems I need to login via Microsoft 365 Admin? tried but not successful…any further advice?

Depends on what kind of (email) Hosting plan you have with them. but usually with hosting plans, you can enable a "catch all" alias to get sent to a mailbox. note though, that a catch all will accept almost_everything@tomato.com.au and deliver it to your mailbox, prepare to get a whole heap of spam in the process.

Alternatively, you can predefine a whole list of alias addresses before actually putting them to use.

  • I.am with Zuver and their control panel allows me to add multiple addresses that get forwarded to my Gmail account. You can't add aliases for your domain with Gmail.

    Try this: https://medium.com/@fedorHK/how-to-setup-godaddy-domain-to-w…

  • Automatic + or . system that gmail has implemented depends on the email server that you've got running at your self hosted domain name. Software that you're running as your email server would need to support it otherwise you would need to do forwards.
