That Skywalker Saga boxis included this time…..

    Almost bearable now.

    • Not sure whether they’ll send an extra 5% off code in the email on top of the 30% off like last time.

    • +1

Yep, almost pulled the trigger this time, but then I saw one of those unboxing videos and how the guy struggled to pull the discs out of that cardboard packaging.

  • +1

Website banner says it ends July 18th. Sneaky.

      Thanks updated

What’s the chances of a sneaky extra 5% off email?

    • I’ve been refreshing my email but nothing yet.

    • normally a once a month-ish thing right?

  • +4

It's stacking with the 2 for $40! So it's 2 for $28, for vs Ferrari was a easy grab, now to pick some other's

    • They always stack, usually the only caveat is no preorders. Though as above sometimes they exclude the expensive ones.

My 4k player (ps5) is yet to come out :'(

Cheers, cheap(ish) anime is now mine.

      Which one?

I Want to Eat Your Pancreas
        Anne of Green Gables
Sword Art Online Alicization - Part 1
        Date a Live III - Season 3
        Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution 2: Anemone
The Promised Neverland - Season 1

Used to buy a lot of anime but I just can't anymore as it's too bloody expensive for what you get. I recently picked up the fate stay night movies which are worth it for the visuals but attack on titan S3 comes to $80 with the 30% off. So much anime is garbage too haha.

          • @Nyclix: Just pay $8.99 per month Animelab or Crunchy roll and watch all you want.

Been collecting anime with shelves of Blurays..alot are still sealed bought from madman.

Now I prefer just streaming, so much more convenient and way much cheaper to watch anime.

            • @luffyex2010: I was gonna say. SAO Alicization is in Animelab.

But I want to Eat Your Pancreas is not. So….. that's interesting.

          • +1

@Nyclix: For sure. I've got a lot of physical anime (I'd estimate around 900 titles) and for how much I've spent I just can't justify getting rid of them. Now, as you said, it's getting more and more expensive so these are the only times I feel fine buying anime, unless it's something rare or out of print that you just can't find anywhere; then I'll pay RRP or above. So now I just wait for sales and buy as much as I feel comfortable with.

I'll be the first to admit I torrent most new releases these days, but I also make a point to buy them when/if they get physical releases in Australia in due time.

@stubbietubbie: Wow big collection - quite an achievement to collect that many, props!

            • +1

@stubbietubbie: Yeah I've probably got close to 400 series or movies and I enjoy going back to watch them. I've got around 600 volumes of manga too which is another money sink haha.

              • @Nyclix: Only got a handful of manga personally, don't need another money pit like you said! :P

Also appears to be 20% off CD's/Vinyl as well. Very sneaky. Suspect current situation in Melbourne and stores being closed has had an impact of sales.

    • Thanks updated

  • Wish this was out on 4K or Blu Ray in Australia… :(

  • Thank you, I've been waiting for a sale to pick up a couple of things I've had my eye on!

  • Been looking through the prices. They're OK, but not as good as some deals, especially when there was the 20% stacked code too…

Grabbing Gladiator and Scarface 4K so far

    • +2

What are you talking about with a stacked code? The 30% discount is already applied ontop of any other 2 for.

The only better one is when they add 5% email however that's not happening, just got the email.

  • Some 4k movies like Ford v ferrari also 2 for $40 on Amazon.

  • I recently got an audio technica turntable. Can you suggest good vinyl albums on discount.

    • +3

I think this is a staple but obviously depends what you like https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/vinyl-hill-lauryn-miseduc…

      • Thank you

      • Have to say I got addicted to this album on tidal after u suggested. Will buy vinyl soon.

        • Nice. Glad you like. The lyrics are deep. Amazon may have it cheaper sometime. Also discogs is addictive. As easy as eBay but heaps cheaper. I’ve had the album over 20 years but only just discovered she also did a reeducation mixtape.

  • I am waiting for a 20% Hisense TV's

Looked through the 2 for $40 4K movies and cant see anything I want that I don't already have

  • check amazon first, some titles are cheaper and free delivery (if you a prime member)
    example ford vs ferrarri

    • +1

For 4k (specifically), Amazon hasn't matched or beaten prices at the time of writing. Roughly 10 4k titles on Amazon under $14 currently. Previous JB longer sales they matched or undercut JB prices, however not on this sale so far.

  • bought a couple of blurays, thanks OP

  • There's also some 3 for $20 cds.
I saw this when searching for David Bowie and searching by price.
I've not pressed go as it's just a test, but it appears to be letting me buy one cd for $6.39.

So can't confirm that, but someone that buys cds might be able to.

  • Most banks and insurers now allow you to purchase jbhifi gift cards at a small discount of about 3-4%.

Worthwhile having a look at whatever rewards program is available through them.

  • Yes great deals thanks so much for the notice

  • Yay! Went looking for the other sales and got Futurama for $40 including delivery. I’ve been trying to get it for a good price for a while. Missed out on the last sale.

  • +1

Thanks op. Picked up star wars 4k ep 1 through to 7, rogue one, all 5 Bourne movies, doctor sleep and ford vs Ferrari.

  • Battlestar Galactica - The Complete Series DVD for $43 is a good price yeah?

    • I picked it up on Blu ray a while ago for like $20 or $30 online.

  • Was going to leave it to tomorrow to buy in-store, thank goodness I noticed the end date just in time to make an online order. Thanks OP!

  • Bought a $26 (pre 30% discount) Blu ray click and collect. Got home and saw it was stickered for $20, not the $26 they sold it as :-(
