[VIC] Bulk KN95C Masks 50 for $79 @ Bodero, Waverley Garden Shopping Center

110

Bodero opposite BIG W in Waverley Gardens (VIC) are selling 50 KN95 masks for $79. They also had pack of 10 for $20. I was told that they have plenty of stock and more was supposed to arrive in next few days.

https://ibb.co/KFCbYfs this is the 10 masks pack which I purchased.

"Broden" and "plenty of stock" doesn't sound correct.

Sorry, it was my mistake. I didn't remember correctly the name of the store. Checked with my daughter and corrected in the heading.

No worries as they were probably referring to an OzBargain inside joke - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/broden

        • Wouldn't be surprised if a suburb is named after him one day lol

          sometimes it's two…

    • $790 for 500; if thats your local store isn't the end of the world.
Normally I'm a diehard ozbargainer who'd walk an extra hour to save 30c on a shirt.

But, staying in your suburb is of more 'value' then cash at this time.
Kudos to you, if that was your reasoning.

Man, I hope all those people live together; thats not a lot of social distancing going on.
That's a big pro I've seen living in QLD; So far, everywhere I've been, people have been respecting distancing.
Even in Woolworths; people are waiting at the end of rows for the first 'batch' of people to finish before they enter.

I really just wonder how vigilant people are being overall; it concerns me that some people are taking it lightly; regardless of if they think it's a conspiracy or whatever other BS people say; there's no denying: close people = sick people.

Be safe everyone, look after each other; but from a distance.

Keep in mind that N95 rating is not required, or called for by the gov https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/face-masks-covid-19. You need a basic 3-layered mask. Make sure it fits and you know how to wear it. Then, ensure you keep your social distance, even with the mask on. This is a risk reduction strategy - you cannot be 100% certain of being protected. People are going into panic mode again and the retailers are loving it. Be alert, not alarmed. Look for basic 3-ply surgical masks. They should be around $20 for 50 delivered. Though…prices are climbing due to retail greed.

      • Yes, but until this point masks were not a requirement there.
So 'past performance' is not an indicator of…. well literally anything to do with prevention, in the current climate.

Speaking of climate, summer needs to hurry up so seasonal colds and flus can stop being confusing for the majority.

Thanks to randy Sydneysiders no doubt.

  • They do online as well .. https://www.facebook.com/bodero.shop/

Look the store want to recover their lose by selling mask for this rip off price.

      Thanks Rep for clarifying…

      I admire your honesty…

They charge $29.95 with Free Shipping on their website
    https://www.lockdownessentials.com.au/products/3ply-protecti…

So this is not a deal … they are literally ripping people off who happen to be silly enough to buy in store.

    • The post is about KN95 masks while the one you are referring to is the 3 ply masks. I agree that to satisfy government requirement 3 ply mask will be ok.

      • -1

The masks they are selling in the store and on their lockdown essentials site are the same ones.
These mask packs were $30 in store a week or so ago.
        this is blatant price gouging

    • Those are surgical masks not KN95C masks, different tiers, different prices

      • -1

the ones in store and online are the same
the 50 packs were $30 a week ago in store

        • You are thick.

        • You can tell from the photo that they are different masks. Not that I trust their KN95 masks however

    • Those are different to OPs - not N95 as the OP said they were, although the photo's a bit hard for me to tell, but they seem like N95.

  • STOP wasting N95 masks which should be prioritised for nurses and doctors in hospitals guys. Surgical masks would be suffice enough.

    • +6

Do doctors and nurses shop at Bodero?

    • I highly doubt that these are TGA approved. Most of the kn95 masks I've seen have inappropriate for hospital use often not providing an adequate seal or tension onto the face.

  • The ONLY mask you will ever need - if it eventuates - and works as expected:

    • This literally made me LOL
Thank you for the link :P

    • This looks promising…

It make even work on Covid…

  • What is in the next basket across for $1?

    • Sorry, don't remember what it was.

  • +1
  • As if KN95 wasn't coincidentally new enough over the long existing P2 and N95 standards just to get them out to market, now there's KN95C. Does the C stand for Crap?
    :P

(at least you can get reputably branded KN95 which is a little more reassuring)
