This place is like EB Games. Always on sale*.

    *Not much of a sale.

Are they owned by the same company? Would it not have been better to spread the offers out to increase the chances that we shop at more than one of them?

    • I think Platypus is the “parent” importer Australia?

EDIT: Accent Group own all the above. So yes, same company.

  • Shoe shops not doing too well with many people working from home?

    • Not sure many office workers were wearing Vans.

I think time to cancel Amex
    Offers are not attractive

    • They haven't been this year, I think it's mostly due to covid-19.

    • It is a little sad when Commbank MasterCard Debit card deals are arguably better!

    • Esp with the qantas $450/flights card. Not much point in tapping the 'free' flights right now, and getting bugger all value out of frequent flyers points in the near future.

  • hey sorry to sound dumb but how to i get an amex card? do you just apply for one online or how does it work? thank you!

    • go to your bank. apply for amex.

      • +3

Only if your bank is Westpac.

Definately don't just "go to your bank" - there's a whole bunch of Amex cards on the market, and the best one for you is almost certainly not the one your bank offers !
That's a terrible way to play finance.
