if only you can pre-order PS5 with this, that'd be awesome

Buy something you don't want>>keep it unopened>>see if the store has something you want in 30 days time>> return the unwanted item and ask the "refund money" to go towards the item you want.

Alternatively, buy something you don't want. Period.

This used to be a good deal, Collage of mine have 6-7 Amex between his family members and would split the transaction for one big price item.

according to someone he knows in Sony, the is fully self funded by Sony and when they got a bill shock from Amex, they stopped asplit payment in shops.

I got this on my Velocity AMEX and 5-6 shoe store ones lol. Hype, Platypus, Vans, Doc Martens, Merrell, Far Fetch. I signed up but they're not going to get my money, suckers.

So you signed up to stop other people getting a discount? What a nice person.

Are these offers actually limited? I take them up and probably use 1/10.

        • +1

          I guess we're both jerks.

@Ghost47: AMEX's fault if they don't understand human psychology… but I suspect the offers are not actually limited and that's just there to encourage people to take up the offer.

Never heard of an offer getting pulled because more than 15K signed up and Ozbargain does move those kinds of numbers.

            • @faithdealer: I agree and I haven't seen that either. It's cute because I'm sure plenty of people sign up for the deal without actually using it in the end.

            • -1

@faithdealer: I’ve had once where I signed up with main card… then the next day try with the supplementary card and signup limit reached.

They should make it if you save it and don’t use it and reach a certain ‘not used’ percentage you stop getting offers.

      • Thanks for the compliment!

At least I post deals periodically instead of lurk here without contributing anything whilst taking up the deals. Sort of like those people who came out of nowhere buying Airpods during the eBay plus promo. :)

I remember last year they had the spend $500 to get $150.

And at the same time, PSPlus came out with codes that made the WF-1000XM3 earphones $249.95.
So if you purchased two, they'd make them $175 each.
