PVR; quality image & easy to use, too much to ask?!

I bought a PVR off COTD last year some time, for the parents

-turned out to be a dud of a product, terribly grainy image which was also chopped off at the sides
-impossible to use
-NO GOOD

now I'm not keen in updating the TV as yet, but I would like to find a PVR for the moment

must have;

-twin tuner
-good quality tuners (for image quality)
-easy peasy to use!!!!!
-preferably an internal HD, not essential and doesnt have to be massive

budget, $300

shanks
