Leather is washed and waxed which gives an exclusive impression to the bag.       Their use of the term seems derived from "The origin of 'bogan'" found in the Macquarie Dictionary:

      That bush term has morphed into its recent 1980's slang use, drawing on the earlier concept of unrefined or unsophisticated.
