      • That just sounds like a cold/flu. What tipped you off to being COVID-19 positive? Did you take a test and what was it like?

        • +1

          Yes i got tested.
Test is pretty easy to do.
I did it by myself by taking a sample from throat and nose as provided by nurse.

      • Which day you took test?

      • sounds like you have more than just covid as sneezing and runny nose are usually listed as not being symptoms. I gather you got a double whammy of having a flu or cold with it?

  • +3

How sick did you feel before you felt the need to get tested?
Or perhaps rather - why did you get tested?

    • +1

Have had close contact with suspected case.

      • +5

Did you know that they had it prior to being in contact with them?
Can you elaborate on how you think you got it?
Did you do anything to avoid it?

    • +6

      You’re on wrong forum Sir/Madam.

    • +1

Only if you're reading on a 5G device.

  • +9

    • +1

      32 Male Whittlesea
      Please dont ask me suburb

      • +1

Have you ever worked as a security guard?
        How's the recovery going?

        • No
Everyday is different with symptoms but yeah feeling better.

          Raw honey works really well.

      • You said ask me anything

        • +2

          Related to the topic…

  • Do you know where you got it from?

    • From Suspected case now in ISO

  • Are you scared you could die?
Did anyone catch it off you?
How are you set up at home, are you alone, can you get supplies?
What advice would you give to everyone else?
How do they know when you are no longer infectious and can go out again, is it after your symptoms have gone, do you need to have a negative test?

    • Still waiting for a call from DHSS.

Mask is the way to go.
      Change mask every four hrs.

      • 2hy are you changing masks every 4 hours? Is that some covid positive specific thing?

    • +27

im 84 years old, every night i go to bed im scared

    • +3

you forgot to ask one very important question!

What is the average air velocity of an unlaidend swallow ?

      • +4

…would that be an unladen african or european swallow?

        • +1

I don't know the answer to that! (flys off the bridge)

  • +1

Did you feel sick enough that you might have gone for testing anyway, if you hadn't be exposed to suspected case?

    • I had a feeling to get it tested anyway.

      You feel something different

  • +9

    Are you okay?

    • +2

      Yes

  • What was the process after you got told you were positive? How were you informed?

    • Hospital called me and suggested ISO and still a official call from DHSS as they’re taking it so long.

      • +1

The hospital told you that you were COVID-19 positive and only "suggested" you should isolate?

        • Yes
          Wat else u expect?

          • +15

@noonu: I fully expected they would tell you that you absolutely must isolate, at least as far as practical from other householders and entirely from any others.

  • +1

Alright, serious question since people seem to lack a sense of humour, have you lost your sense of taste or smell?

    • +4

      Yes today

  • When you get normal cold or flus do they normally affect you badly

    • Bad version of FLU 😷

        • Who said Tige n cats look similar?

In layman’s language it is a bad version of FLU.

        • Tigers are not cats

Tigers and domestic cats are both Felidae.

Felidae is a family of mammals in the order Carnivora, colloquially referred to as cats.

          • @rompastompa: Still don't look similar.

Those categories are created by men, after lengthy arguments. In different times, different situation, might have been different.

The classification changes from time to time too, albeit unlikely for Tiger and cat.

            • @[Deactivated]: I think you'll find @sicaboy said they look similar, not I.

And yes, I quoted the classification of cats as generalized family classification (in reply to sicaboy).

  • Do you still have the symptoms?
    How is your mental health?

    • Mentally ok.

  • Did you have Covid app installed on your phone?

    • +2

Yes but no info uploaded as still waiting for a call from DHSS

  • +1

do you have underlying medical condition? Are you within the healthy range on your weight?

  • +1

Is it worse than the flu?

*Edit Sorry this has already been asked.

  • Do you live with other people? How do they feel? Do they live somewhere else for the time being?

    • Living with family but separate room.

      • How do they feel and treat you?

  • How long in to your symptoms did you get tested?

    • 2 days

  • +26

you coming to the rally on the weekend

    • +6

      Isolating SIR,MADAM.

  • +7

Thanks for sharing! Glad to hear you feel like you’re on the mend but please pay attention to your symptoms and if they get worse at any point please contact your GP straight away.

Hope you keep the upward trend :)

  • How has it been trying to sleep?

    • Normal

    • wtf is wrong with you

      • -5

You're not the OP so quit spamming the questions.

    • +6

      No
      Was top on you.

    • I saw him with your mum the other night so doubt it.

  • Given Vic chief health officer said it’s probably all cases of current covid can be traced to hotel quarantine, how do you feel about our handling of covid?
Does it upset you that you’ve caught it Now

    • +2

      No
70% of the population will eventually get it.
      Can’t get away!!

      • Well it will be that if the 9 out of 10 people that do get tested keep working or going out when they should be in quirantine. Good luck with your recovery,

      • -7

If you truely believe that it may be better just to infect everyone asap and get it over with right? So you're coughing at your family/friends/etc right now? And don't worry about 14 days in iso, if everyone gets infected no one needs to be in iso as we all have herd immunity.

somehow i dont think thats what you are doing…

        • +7

I never said to infect anyone.

IMO majority of population will get it.

I have been taking extra precautions with everything but still got it.

          Mate It’s damn contagious.

          • @noonu: Did you wear a mask as precautions?

        • +2

Research suggests that there is no immunity if you got infected.

          • +2

@[Deactivated]: It's early days, but the research confirms antibodies dont last more than a few weeks, or a few months at best.

        • +4

Why would I cough on family:friends?

I think you should switch off ur ph. and have some rest.

          • @noonu: the whole point of lockdowns etc is to avoid most of us getting the virus.

If you truely believe most of us will get it, then the pain of lockdowns is unnecessary, in fact harmful, as we have to suffer economic shock with no benefit of very small % of the population being exposed to the virus.

Logical, but maybe its hard to see when you have a fever.

            • @cloudy: You can go to work so hope u get my point.

            • +15

@cloudy: the whole point of lockdowns is to SLOW DOWN the virus, not avoid as all getting it. If 70% of population get it over a motnh, ICU oveloaded and lots of people die. If 70% of people get it over 1 year, a lot less people die.

  • how did you isolate yourself from your family member?

    • +2

      Just living in next room.

But my family is showing symptoms as it is highly contagious.

      • +3

damn…this is my greatest fear. that i somehow get infected and in turn infect my family that i care for.
good luck and stay safe…both you and your family

  • Do u still work remotely?

    • No
      Due to nature of job.

      • What do you do? If you can, are you fit enough to work at home?

        • My job is to work physical on sites.
Atm there’s no such technology available.

  • +6

When you tested yourself how far up the nose did you swab yourself?
When the nurse did it to me I felt her touch my brain

    • I did it by myself.

I did it little far but not too far and it was very easy to do.

      • +2

If it was easy to do you didn't go far enough. Needs to be the back of your nose… when they did my test I found myself trying to push my head back involuntarily and I sat still while the dentist ripped 2 wisdom teeth out.

No way in hell could I see someone able to properly self administer it…

  • Are your toes itchy?
