Lacura Silicone Cleansing Device/4 pc Manicure Set $9.99, Hydration Code Day/Night Cream, Face Mist, Eye Gel $6.99 @ ALDI

90

Aldi has a few beauty special buys coming on on Wed 29 July.

First off is a AAA battery-operated, waterproof Silicone cleansing device for $10. Ever since Foreo cleansers became popular, cheap knock-offs have appeared everywhere in all shapes and sizes. If not for the fact that I'm waiting for my Inface brush from Aliexpress, I'd give this a try.

There are also 4 hydrating skincare products for $6.99 each. I've tried a few Aldi Lacura skin care products, most of them range from just ok to quite good - so far I haven't had to throw anything out before finishing. These special buys look promising.

Lacura Skin Science Hydration Code Night or Day Face Cream 50ml

  • With hyaluronic acid and a special moisture complex for intense hydration
  • Our exclusive Lacura Skin Science Day or Night Cream with organic aloe vera juice and hyaluronic acid will leave your skin feeling refreshed and radiant

Not sure if it's the same formula as sold in Germany, but if so, they would contain aloe vera juice, hyaluronic acid, glycerin which are great humectants for dehydrated skin.

Lacura Skin Science Hydration Code Face Mist 75ml

  • Instant hydration on the go keeps your skin glowing all day

Lacura Skin Science Hydration Code Overnight Eye Gel 15ml

  • With caffeine for a stimulated skin microcirculation
  • Contains aloe vera and other valuable ingredients that deliver intense moisture
  • Refreshes the eye area
Intensively moisturises the skin for a radiant complexion

Premium Manicure and Pedicure Set 4 Piece $9.99

Luxury Hand Cream $4.99

  • Silicone Cleansing Device for $10.

Good deal if you have dirty silicone.

  • I love that there's no meaningful generic name for "Silicone Cleansing Device"!
Here, buy a packet of pure marketing!

  • +1

I bought a Foreo mini from Sephora back when they were largely unheard of and not really available elsewhere. Cost me over $100 and now whenever I see a cheap facial cleanser i'm a bit salty at how much mine cost. The good news is that my Foreo is still going strong thou.

    • I am sure it is better quality than the cheap knock-offs, and you've been able to use it all this time. :) Has it improved your skin since you started using it?

      • +2

I bought the Foreo as a replacement to a cleansing brush, I find it works better if I only use it every few days whereas I had gotten into a daily habit with the brush. I absolutely couldn't go without a cleansing device thou, well worth the investment and you don't have to replace the brush heads with the silicone ones.

        • +1

That sounds good. When you say you couldn't go without a cleansing device, do you mean that in terms of skin clarity or some other benefits?

          • +2

@moocher: Just in terms of acne, oilyness, and overall my skin feeling cleaner and looking better. I used a whole heaps of products for years like proactive, nivea etc. and I never got the result I wanted until I started using Benzac and then the addition of a cleansing brush improved it again. It's a level of deep clean you're just not able to achieve washing your face by hand or face washer.

            • @Fever4shakin: Thank you, that's really good to know. Now I just need mine to turn up in the mail….

  • sorry for the stupid question but how do these devices work? im new to the skincare game.

Do you need to use this in conjunction with a product?

and do you literally just rub it on your face?

    • +1

I haven't used one yet but in general they're meant to be used with foaming cleanser. You dampen your skin first, apply cleanser to the brush and gently massage, then rinse off. Some come with different speeds/modes depending on your preference.

      • Ah cool! that makes sense.

Looks like ill have to alter my skincare routine slightly as usually I do my facial cleaning in the shower. I'm assuming these aren't waterproof

        • Actually they are usually waterproof, including the Aldi one in this deal.

  • not sure what this is, but inclined to grab some for the ladies of the house, if i know what it is ..
