Shoving random stuff in Kmart boxes, it sparks happiness

    • +1

sounds like my wife with random boxes when she tries to clean up.

      • Wait what, she stuffs random stuff in boxes?

        What stuff. Curious.

        • anything of my stuff is what she considers random. for the life of me Ive lost count how many times I couldnt find a particular tool or item since she put in a random box out of the way without telling me.

          • @Dr Techno: Tell her if she doesn't attend this course you will divorce her.

  • There are four masterclasses, check out the others on the Kmart website.

    • I know a few people who might be more interested in the Khanh Ong before it.

Blargh, literally every online course is now a "masterclass" - this word has lost its meaning for me.
Are people more likely to buy/attend an online course if its called "masterclass"?

Sally Flower studied under Marie Kondo in 2012 and has been doing Kon Mari consulting for 8 years. I'm not sure what more qualifications you're looking for to be a KonMari Master. The first book only came in 2011.

      • We've been to her talk, it's good if you're into that sorta thing. 50% of the talk was how to organize which I expect will by the focus, for kmart to sell organization boxes.

I'd like to see her certificates

Let's be realistic. 1 week course or a single tafe unit would be more than enough to do Kon Mari. It's more hype than rocket science.

        • Similar vein to the Feng Shui craze few years back?

          • +1

@Hybroid: I think Kon Mari has more practical application for most people.

"Feng shui (Chinese: 風水), also known as Chinese geomancy, is a pseudoscientific[1][2] traditional practice originating from ancient China, which claims to use energy forces to harmonize individuals with their surrounding environment."

That said, Geomancer has more of a ring to it than "Australia’s first-trained KonMari Consultant".

            • @captaincabinets: Kon Mari from their own website is literally 'tidy by category'. It'd be like me saying I'm a 'Tog Master' because I've studied under trolls.

@MiniMoo: You jest but I literally use some of the boxes from my move and just put them on my shelf like that

lol wait till you attend a "workshop" which is a seminar with a demo when you thought it was hands on. Cooking classes at south melb are those.

My wife decided to watch an episode of Marie condos show on Netflix the other night. My first exposure to this.

It didn’t spark joy so I said thankyou and switched it off
