Both my partner and I utilised it in 2016 and found it pretty straight forward. I wasn't aware it was still active so thought to share it.

What is Saver Plus
Saver Plus is a free ten-month program that provides financial education to help build essential skills for managing money and becoming a regular saver. Upon completion of the program, ANZ will match your savings, up to $500, which you can put toward education costs for you or your children.

Eligibility
You may be eligible to join Saver Plus if you:
- Are 18 years or over
- Have a child at school or attend vocational education yourself
- Have regular income from paid employment (you or your partner)
- Have a current Health Care or Pensioner Concession Card
- Are in receipt of an eligible Commonwealth social security benefit, allowance or payment. Many Centrelink payments are eligible, please contact your local Coordinator for more information.

  • Just wanted to clarify Saver Plus is an initiative of Brotherhood St Laurence and ANZ and delivered in partnership with Berry Street, The Smith Family, and other local community agencies – Bethany and Ballarat Group Training. The program is funded by ANZ and the Australian Department of Social Services.

    • And thank you for sharing Ash-Say, we're glad you had a great experience.

  • How much effort is required to complete the moneyminded financial program?

    • Hi Toobzy - presently during COVID all participants are completing their MoneyMinded workshops online, which generally takes around 1.5-2 hours. Anyone can do these activities and they're great to do with the family :) www.moneyminded.com.au
Our participants says the workshops are the best part of the program, its where they learn, share ideas and hone in on their budgeting and saving skills.

      • Hi SaverPlus - I assume that you are associated? I have a question for you: I tried to signup along with my wife, but was told that only one of us was allowed to do the program, as there was a maximum of one adult per household that could be eligible. I haven't seen this condition on the website. Is this true?
