People like Karen, make every single pandemic, zombie and disaster movie seem 100% realistic. Movies were people make stupid decisions; yup totally believable now seeing how people react in real life.

      • +1

lol tyrannical. What are you smoking, mate?

    • +1

      'I have a medical exemption'

      Yeah, right…

      • +2

Some people honestly do, and it effing PISSES me off that these jokers are exploiting that, because it makes it so much harder for those who genuinely can't and wish they could, and makes it unsafer for EVERYONE.

I'm autistic and counting my lucky stars that I can tolerate a mask. I like going to Bunnings.

        • +1

Anti-vaxers also abuse exemptions frameworks to try to avoid vaccinating their kids, thereby endangering people who genuinely can't get vaccinated.. its pure selfishness. In fact, I suspect a lot of the anti-maskers are probably anti-vaxers too.

Someone sent me her fb profile.. in april she was posting: "I urge everyone, the minute you step outside please wear a mask and gloves don't listen to the government saying that you don't need to."

Just another dumbass who hasn't amounted to much in her life trying to live out a fantasy as a maveric fighting against imaginary tyranny… oh did I mention she also likes to pretend she has superpowers? .. apparently in her spare time she's a "professional psychic"/witch.

      • +2

Yea she was on ACA showing her witchery and psychics a while ago. yes rofl.

        She's dumbaf.

  • @FPharmacy, it's a really good deal. I don't live in Melbourne though so can't purchase it.

Just curious, what colour is the mask? In the Chemist Warehouse mask deal, someone said the newer produced masks are White and the older Wuhan produced masks are blue.

    • What's the difference in quality between the two?

      • No clue. Probably little to no difference. It's the same brand and they both have the same TGA certification.

Colour and location of the manufacturing plant is probably the only difference.

Unless someone with more information can explain?

        • +5

@emoticon, we currently have the blue mask so unfortunately cannot tell you the difference.
We understand that these mask have been produced in Wuhan but they have undergone TGA approval so are up to medical standard.

          • +3

@FPharmacy: Yup, it's not an issue at all. Medical standard/TGA is all that matters. I purchased the same masks from Chemist Warehouse.

            Was just curious is all.

Thanks for replying back and offering the masks to Victorians at a really good price.

            • +1

@franco cozzo: Seriously? A third of the products on OzBargain are probably made in Wuhan.

            • +3

@franco cozzo: If i'm reading you right, it's really a non-issue. I've bought from two other Australian mask brands AAXIS and StrapIT Surgimask and they were all made in China as well.

            • @franco cozzo: Oh ffs… so you go find the latest science on how long the virus lasts outside the human body, on what kind of surfaces and at what temperatures and humidities, and then come back & report the risk of transmission from masks shipped from overseas to us. Lol. F'ing ZERO.

Hilarious, considering the huge prevalence rates in places like the US, and no whitey ever seems to gripe about products that come from there. Just pure racism and xenophobia.

Make your own mask from local paperbark and idk, grass. Better still, stick a plastic bag over your head you've irradiated at Lucas Heights. Or maybe some tinfoil.

              • @kiteo: Taiwan has done well. Producing masks and exporting them.

No one recongises that, not even the WHO, rofl.

              • +1

                @kiteo:

                and no whitey

….says the user using derogatory racist remarks based on skin colour….get off your hypocritical high-horse champ

            • @franco cozzo: The CCP has enter the chat.

            • @franco cozzo: LOL…downvoted for simply asking for details of where something is made to be included in the deal description?
no implied 'racism', no 'xenophobic comments' etc…and instead personal attacks, racist comments, mass downvoting etc

…what happened ozbargain? this aint the place i remember …. 🤔

        • I have a box of the older Softmed blue masks from a reputable seller - they didn't have the ARTG number (TGA approval) printed on the box. (I was actually wondering if it could be fake?)

Also just got the newer white masks from Coles. It has the same barcode number, but has ARTG number 337122, Level 3 on the box, which is different to the one stated for the product listed here.

          Just an FYI.

          • @C-Nut: The image Footscray Pharmacy posted on their facebook page has a sticker label which says level 3 and the TGA numbers on the box and they're the older blue ones so i don't know.

Do you notice any difference in the quality of the different coloured masks?

  • +1

I bought a box of these from chemist warehouse. All I can say is these are very thin compared to a good brand level 3

  • +3

The government should be giving these out for free!
    Not giving out fines.
