Hey everyone,

Found this Compaq notebook at Officeworks for only $348.

Obviously its a low-end notebook but if your in the market for a netbook, this might be a good alternative and it'll run better than a netbook.

It'll still do the usual stuff quite well liking web browsing, word documents etc, videos, movies and music… can't complaint too much for $348 I guess :)

Might also be good for small businesses as well.

    Not really a bargain…low specs, normal price and heavy, heavy laptop. Dick Smith are selling it for $349, and have been for ages…

    these should be down near the $300 mark

    you can upgrade the memory but the netbook like CPU performance will always be an issue

    Here is a similar laptop (but 15"). from Orange IT.

    It has the same CPU, same amount of RAM, larger 500GB drive and is $309 after Lenovo Cashback.
    Not to mention it is not a crappy Compaq brand…

    The deal represents poor value for money compared to similar products and pricepoints.
