How to you wash/clean your fry pans?
And what temperature are you using? We've had this pan for a few years and it's not even scratched let alone damaged in anyway…
Never put a pan that is hot in to the sink, as in don't give them temperature shocks, and avoid going above "medium" temperature.
When the primary users of the fry pan are oldies who don't seem to give a flying truck about temperature shock or don't wash it immediately after use etc. My MIL thinks failed coatings aren't harmful. Yeah nah you can eat my share of the failed coating.
What is the medium temp? how do you grill steak on this Pan? Or what do you cook on it?
for best results use cast iron for steaks. you really want that sear on medium to high heat.

@SnoozeAndLose: Same. I'm Asian, and all those non-stick woks last 6 months, at best. Expensive or cheap.
So I decided to just stick to the cheap ones because it's easier that way.
@diazepam: Aldi one give 1-year warranty and some of the wok is 5 years and I got a replacement after 6 months of use

I think it's only IKEA 365+ Cookware or TROVARDIG but even then that's good enough for me since I end up using them in like couple of months.
I dont even use metal utensils but it still ends up with scratches…
And I've bought lifetime warranty pots (>$200+) and they usually give a bullshit story like "oh you didnt wash it properly, or your heat was too high" and say claim denied. I've even had a claim rejected for using "metal utensils" when clearly it says metal utensil safe on the packaging. I think IKEA should be better to work with for warranty claims.
Anyway I generally buy OUMBÄRLIG because it's at a good price to quality ratio which doesn't come with any guarentee. I might consider getting the IKEA 365+ as a new set of pans.
use a gentle sponge when washing. dont use metal utensils on them. i put mine in the dishwasher and coating is still good after 18 months.
Get an enamel cast iron pan. I got one of the Aldi ones for $18, I don't think I'll ever buy a nonstick pan again.
Go lodge cast iron. Lasts a lifetime.
But weight may be an issue.

geeeezzzz. i bought it 70bucks at victoria basement. this is a 'pro' series too.
Instead of buying non stick pans, next time try a plain stainless steel pan or even French skillet style iron pan.
The non stick coating isn’t the healthiest thing to cook on and will eventually break down requiring another purchase.
I own this exact pan and the centre where the red dot sits is no longer non stick. Owned it for about one year.
Although non stick is convenient for some things, stainless is the way to go as long as you know what you are doing.

Damn there’s always something I need posted when I’m not on ozb. Bought this a few weeks ago for $40 off amazon, has been good so far used 2x a day every day and still looks new.
It did come with a chip in the coating though but I couldn’t be bothered complaining. It was packaged well in the box so the chip would have been there from their warehouse
purchased one tefal is most of my smartest choice this year
I am done buying utensils after investing in a set of Lodge cast iron set and a scanpan set.
Interesting about Lodge cast iron.
I will keep that in mind for future.
