  Do NOT buy EZVIZ product if you're more into privacy of thing.
  I've got their C1C and in order to use it, the APP requires you to share your location before you can start using it.
  There's no way to skip that, and there's no explanation why they need to collect your location info. I would avoid this company.

        Most Swann products are made by Reolink (formerly known as Shenzhen Baichuan), which is also based in China.

        That said, with most local recorders / NVRs, data isn't sent outside your local network except for some anonymous usage statistics. If you want to avoid anything being sent, you can block this in your firewall.
