  • I ordered a phone from them on July 26th, and it still hasn't shipped, so just beware of that.

    • +2

That was only ten working days ago.

  • +1

It's $264.12 when you remove shipping insurance and broken screen service.

    • +1

Yeah, you're right. I've edited the price in the title.

    • What is broken screen service for? Does it mean they will fix the screen if it breaks? Will they pay for the postage?

      • +1

During the service period, Banggood will provide a one-time compensation payment if the internal or external screen (excluding the back cover) is broken due to accidental fall, collision, crushing, or other events; and the fragmentation area exceeds 1 square centimeter.

        • Nice, not sure whether anyone has made a claim previously as it usually costs $100 to fix.

          • +1

@yht: Probably not worth getting, for this phone broken screen service cost $9.93 and the compensation payment is $29.84

            • @adr8: where does it cost $9.93 for someone to replace the screen for this phone. Please tell me asap

              • +2

@michael9865: Banggood don't replace the screen, they pay you $29.84 compensation.

There is more info on the checkout page with a link to their screen replacement policy.

  • How does the Qualcomm SM6125 Snapdragon 665 stack up with the Mediatek Helio G90T?

    • +1

I believe the G90T performs noticeably better, at least from what I've been reading.

    • +2

The G90T is faster, it's also faster than the 730 (which was released as a midrange at the same time as the 665, which was the more budget chip). Thus why the non-pro version of this phone has the 665 instead.

Qualcomm still wins in efficiency though, you'd get better battery life from the 665 or 730.

The camera on the Note 8 Pro is crap though, worth keeping in mind.

      • I've heard, like many of these mid-tier Chinese phones, the camera is solid when there is a lot of light but sucks when there isn't.

      • +2

When my wife first go her phone, it took awesome photos in comparison to her previous 3 year old iphone SE.

But 7 months later and after i upgraded my phone (IQOO neo 3), I can see that her photos are average at best. This is comparing portrait shots, and my phone does its own AI for photo correction in portrait mode. makes most of the photos look awesome.

I wouldnt say the camera is crap, because you are definitely getting a good camera for the money. IMO you are getting what you paid for.

    I don't trust Banggood.

    • +1

      Why?

  • Says Global Version but B28 is not listed in descriptions.

  • +3
    • The upgrade from the Note 8 Pro to the Note 9 Pro is not significant. The main difference here is the extra 64GB storage. If that is worth the extra price to you then go for this.

      • The one above definitely has B28, larger screen + battery, 30W charging and has the QC 720G which is bit slower but more frugal and some prefer + can instal GCam. The B28 alone is worth the extra $$$.

        • The Note 8 Pro Global version also has B28.

          • @Brofung: I understand that there could be an error in Banggood's case quoting the specs, but it could actually go either way.

Not the first time vendor makes an advertising mistake ( even in good faith and not their fault ).

A lot of hassle if you want/need that and turns up without.

Unless you have been in contact with this seller recently to confirm, please Never Assume and spread False News.

        • +2

There is a working Gcam for the note 8 pro.

          • +1

@aussieprepper: That's good to know. The MTK Crew must be working hard. They are closing the gap on QC now.

    • Is this a cheaper/better version ?
