Non WiFi model, I think it's the cheapest I've seen it.

Seems like a VERY good price for an x570 board.

Got the WiFi one, paid ~ $50 more then this.
Would have loved to get this instead.

The BIOS is a bit meh especially with memory timing settings repeated in 2 different places, where a place the settings work and the other they don't.

Also mine failed to update the BIOS over the internet claiming the file was wrong, but it selects the download location itself so there is nothing the user can do about it.

Other than those issue the build seems OK and i have it 1:1 with 3200MHz RAM, runs like a rocket with a 3800x.

    • 1:1 with 3200MHz RAM

      Laaame. /s

Memory timings are repeated because one of them is in hex I think and Ryzen Master seems to write to that if you try and tweak timings there.

      • I manually entered the settings in the first place i saw them and the system failed to boot.
Entered the same settings where they are in hex and it worked a treat.

Wasn't aware Ryzen Master could do it automagically, i entered them line by line from a screen cap of DRAM Calculator for Ryzen

Doing another build possibly with this board in a few weeks, will check it out.

        • I've heard that if you change just one setting in the hex section it pretty much disables the other section.

          • @Void: The hex section was untouched, in fact even un found when i made the changes to the original section.
This is when it failed to boot.
Was later after exploring deeper i found the AMD options.
I'll stick with making any changes there in future.
The hex was a little surprise, they could have presented the data as integers, presenting hex to the user is wired.

Just had a thought, would be interesting to see what settings Ryzen Master would have attempted to use vs what i got from the DRAM Calc app.
            Will look into it later.

Pretty happy with the board, doubt i'll ever use the WiFi, but bluetooth has potential for some things i do so maybe worth it.

            • @virtual81: The Bluetooth will work great with the xm3s or the qc35s… Just make sure you connect the antennas to avoid drop outs…

  • Is this compatible with ryzen 5 1600 af?

  • So, what's the warranty and returns process like for something like this? Does ASUS have international warranty? What if this motherboard is faulty after 30 days? Do I contact ASUS Australia or ASUS USA given this motherboard (without the WiFi) doesn't appear to be sold in Australia?

    • Just to answer my question after contacting ASUS.

ASUS Australia will not honor warranty for motherboards purchased in other countries. Email from ASUS Support follows:

"Unfortunately, Asus Australia would not be able to cover the warranty if the ship-to-country is an overseas one (for example USA). We suggest to try and find resellers that have the TUF GAMING X570-PLUS motherboard that can have ship-to-country as Australia if you wish to claim warranty service in Australia.

This is because Local Warranty can only be claimed, and Warranty Service carried out by the Service Centre where the machine was purchased, in this case by ASUS Service USA. In order to claim such warranty, the device will need to be returned to the USA for any warranty repairs. Typically, the best point of contact to organise this is through the reseller you purchased the machine from as they may be able to forward the machine to their local ASUS Service Centre on your behalf, providing you return the product to them."
