Suggest paying with PP so you can make a claim in 180 days if necessary. Not a good idea relying on the 12 month warranty they claim on the website. My postage to metro Melbourne was $15.

  • Just bought from this TecoBuy deal yesterday. Wondering how one claims warranty through PayPal?

    • Your not claiming warranty. It's more like doa or defective item within 90 days, tho idk if this will quailfiy for 90 protection

  • Warranty for previous Roborock Australian site is 12 months also. So either way after 12 months if it fails it sounds like too bad. But it would be interesting to hear people view on reliability?

    • Don't know about the S5 but I have had the S50 for 16 months and it has been 100% reliable. My one bedroom unit is all lino and tiles and I normally run the vacuum twice a week. Maintenance is easy as well. All you have to do is change the filter out occasionally (comes with two, just wash and resuse them) and wipe down the sensors. The app reminds you when to do maintenance as well.

      Just checked the stats in the accompanying app and my S50 has done:

      Total time: 90hrs (I usually run mine on Turbo, the second highest setting)
      Total area: 5496 square meters
      Total Cleanups: 144

      I cop some crap about being lazy from my relos and workmates but my Roborock is one of my favourite purchases. I just turn it on when I'm at work and come home to a clean house. You can also schedule the cleaing via the app.

      • I have an older s50 and it's done 276 hours. I run it 6 days a week. Had one glitch where something went wrong, app told me to reset unit by holding down a button. I did that and it came back and was fine (didn't even forget my WiFi). 2 bedroom apartment, mostly tiles but carpet in the bedrooms.

  • How would the EU version differ to one purchased from Roborock locally?

  • What are people's experience with postage times from these guys?

    • I bought a white version from Toby deals in July. Shipping was fairly quick, I think it was about 1-2 weeks, although dispatch took about 4 days.

  • Whatever these guys are doing, they are not being honest when replying to emails.

    7/8:

    So, they keep BS-ing… Order "picked up" ten days ago, and now, "ready to be packed today".

    I've asked them to cancel my order and refund, let's see how it goes.
