Vodafone are having a deal at the moment offering up to 25% off mobile plans. I think the best value for most people, especially now as most are working from home, is the $45 a month plan that gives you 50gb, which is discounted down to $35 a month for the first 12 months.

These are SIM-only plans that are month-to-month, so you are able to move at any time, or after the 12 months discount period ends.

Also available:

$40 a month for 60gb (discounted for 12 months, afterwards $50 a month)
$45 a month for 100gb (discounted for 12 months, afterwards $60 a month)
$65 a month for 150gb (discounted for 12 months, afterwards $80 a month)

Although you can get cheaper on network resellers, I think this is very good value if you’re looking to join a main provider as Optus and Telstra are more expensive by comparison.

+ Don’t forget Shopback! Join through Shopback and get 110% back on the first month’s fees (that’s $49.5 if you sign up to the $45 a month plan (discounted to $35 for 12 months)). Thanks nedkellyinthebush!

most OzBargain users are sim hopers anyway, paying $10/month can be too much to some lol

    • Yep.. can only hope for unlimited data @ $10p/m or less..

  • You’re better off signing up via ShopBack right? How much cashback do you get exactly though? There are a lot of cash back offers it’s a bit confusing

  • +3

50GB a month is a lot for WFH when you're on WiFi most of the time, there's hardly any data usage.

    • +2

Yes, but as I wrote it’s great value if you’re looking to join a big player (Optus, Telstra) as those offer only 10gb for $39. Might as well get 50gb for $35.

  • Still shows up as $45 even when checking out? Same as Shopback links

    • Not sure what you’re seeing, but everything should appear reduced. Maybe try another browser.

  • ?Haven't read T&Cs but are these deals good for start up businesses?

  • How long will this last?

    • They are offering this deal for new customers until 14 September. The discount goes for 12 months.

I signed up for this Friday after ditching Optus prepaid, Vodafone call quality is so much better than Optus it's not even funny. I can actually use my phone again.

    • +3

Same. I was always sceptical of Vodafone but already they’re better where I live than Optus.

      • +2

It also helps Vodafone supports voice over wifi and voice over LTE unlike Optus prepaid!

      • +2

$5 roaming and some minutes of international calls each month at this price it’s pretty good much better than the Telstra plan I’m currently on

  • Does Vodafone have esim for my Apple Watch?

  • Anyone know if this includes 5G once it’s available?

  • The 110% Cashback for 12 Month SIM Only plan is for the $45 plan discounted to $35 only:

    12 Month 50GB SIM Only Plus Plan ($35/Month) - 110%

So how long do I need to stay with Vodafone for the Cashback to be actually credited? Shopback says Cashback can be claimed in 150 days. Thats way too long. If I port out after first month, do I still get the cashback?

  • wish they include some int minutes too

    • +1

      "100 mins for Zone 1"

      • Oh yeah thanks. Currently am on $45 plan. Can I cancel and change to this plan?

  • Unfortunately I purchased a belong Sim card last week and I was waiting for my current sh*t network circles.life to expire this week. Now I am wondering if I can return the unused Sim card back to Coles? Anyone had an experience returning Sim cards with credit ?

    • I dont think you can get a refund on sim cards.

  • When is the discount applied? It shows $45 in my cart.

    • +1

You’re signing up for a $45 plan, but it should update to a discounted price of $35 in your cart. Perhaps try another browser?

      • Cheers, will give that a try.

  • Anyone know if Vodafone has VoLTE and VoWifi support for Oneplus products? I looked it up last night but didn't come up with anything

  • This looks to be the cheapest sim only plan beside the circles of life crap.
To take advantage of cashback, is there a way I can have it included whilst I'm at the physical store?

*If anyone knows a better deal / plan under $40 a month from one of the major network providers, please fill free to add below

  • how's their reception. Is it still crap?
Looking to move from Optus as their reception in my house is also crap. I live in 2207.

    • Can’t talk about your specific postcode, but I haven’t had a problem with Vodafone’s reception yet. I have crap Optus reception at home too.

    • Depends on location. In metro, they are pretty good (wife is on voda). When you drive out to the sticks, it's clear that other telcos have better coverage. FYI they got a 30 day guarantee if no good for you.

  • +1

FYI just signed up for the plan + shopback. Only got $30 cashback pending in case anybody is looking at this deal now so not sure the legitimacy of 100/110% cashback as mentioned by others.

I'm actually paying ETF from woolworths mobile of $300 to go on this deal as I have my wifes mobile, NBN with them already and having a third plan increases my bundle discount from 5 to 10% with them. After comparing apples to apples over my remaining 6 month term. I'm only going to be making a saving of $7 but I thought it might be useful info for others that are looking to get out of a contract. Do the numbers!

  • Does it work for existing Vodafone customer with month-to-month plan?
