I’m not a huge fan of these types of “polishers”. I find they don’t generate enough heat for a real paint correction. I’d be more inclined to use this as a wax applicator more than anything else. Great price however for someone looking to get into the Toolpro ecosystem.

    • From experience you are 100% correct.
These don't have the torque to do any real compounding or polishing, but quite decent in quickly removing wax that has hazed over.

    • Agreed. Makes it safe to use for even the amateurs though.

For the price I'm happy with mine. Use it for waxing and buffing.
You will need to get decent bonnets for it though

Cheapest was 37.49 on their eBay store. Good price for the battery. By the way, same price at their eBay shop if you have some gift card.

Does it work on other cars besides Isos??

Just a tip for those who have WORX tools; the Worx batteries work with Toolpro tools as well.

I have this and it applies wax well enough

    • Really? That's awesome. Thanks for sharing

Yup. Just be sure to use the "Powershare" type batteries which most of the relatively newer Worx tools use.

    • Didn't know that. I've always wondered how the ToolPro system could survive by itself. Now it makes more sense.

      • Well I don't think its common knowledge. Its just something I thought I'd try one day when my Toolpro polisher ran out of charge. I didn't want to wait for the thing to charge midway through a waxing session so I thought to try and plug in a worx battery since the dimensions and slot looked the same. And it worked like a charm! Was quite useful for me as I have lots of Worx batteries

        • Where do you get your Worx tools from? Are they cheaper than toolpro?

          • @edrift: Amazon. They sometime have really good prices on them.

Bought a line trimmer with 2 batteries and a charger for just under $100. (Sold my 2 year old Ryobi One for $110!)
A portable pressure washer with charger and battery also for just under $100.
A brushless hammer drill boxed kit with two batteries and a charger for $150ish
A pretty powerful blower with battery and charger for $159ish

Some Worx tools look gimmicky but the ones I got so far have been real good quality and well designed.

    • awesome, thanks for letting me know. I have this polisher and have used jcb batteries with it, that I scored from this deal a few years ago:

that impact driver has been awesome- good to know I can try a Worx battery if I need to

  • Can someone advice me if this would help get rid of that cloudy look on my headlights?

    • +2

You don't need a machine for that. Can hand polish instead. This buffer is too big for headlights

      • Thanks for the reply. I'll watch some YouTube video & give it a go.

  • I've got a knob that needs polishing, would this work for that?
